The DNA links between all living things and the incremental evolution that can be observed through experimentation are pretty convincing to me and and a majority of people that evolution is the most sound theory available

So even though there remain unknowns in the world, that doesn't convince me there must be a God. And therefore I dont grant the Bible the distinction of being a work of nonfiction. So what the Bible says is an abomination to God has zero sway over me

Yeah thats called "looking on the bright side". I don't believe in killing babies in the womb...but if these people are celebrating the murder of an innocent man AND willing to kill an innocent child (their child) growing inside their own body then I guess the bright side is that baby didnt have to be raised by someone who clearly places no value on human life. I don't think "applauds murder" and "kills unborn babies" are desirable traits in a parent. Do you? Are those the traits you want in a woman raising YOUR kids? If so then cool...we just disagree about that.

I'm in line with you, but that doesn't make kirk evil for saying homosexuality is an abomination to god. Everyone believes someone particpates in some sort of abomination and that doesn't mean they think that person should be stoned

There are books on apologetics enough to fill Warehouses and I tend to figure thats where I'd go to get to the bottom of what any particular religion really is, down to the minute details of why modern christians generally don't actually think we should be throwing rocks at the more flamboyant among us until they die

Let me be clear, I’m not ready to put blood on the hands of politicians for speech that doesn’t clearly and overtly call for violence even if their words are the catalyst a lunatic needs to be pushed over the edge. However, I think the mental health epidemic in the country will play a huge role in how free our speech stays and our politicians certainly need to set a better example.
