It's an extremely pertinent question if he is going to claim his opinion as fact and he is not black. "Stating facts about blacks being better off in the 40s".
It’s a mixed bag. There is a good argument that in many ways the black community was better off in the 1950”s characterized by rising iq’s, father- led families, increasing income and educational attainment. This is in spite of being relegated to second class citizens. They were segregated and received less education funding.Income increased rapidly as a result of TCRA but all the other gains began decreasing. This is according to Thomas Sowell’s research.Don't worry about me. Your affirmation carries no weight or credibility. It's an extremely pertinent question if he is going to claim his opinion as fact and he is not black. "Stating facts about blacks being better off in the 40s".
Bless your heart
He formed an opinion from that statistic. Is it better that blacks don't have equal rights if it means there are more two parent households? What specifically about the CRA caused the increase in single parent households? Was it the CRA itself that caused it or the irresponsible spending on aid that followed?Doesn’t sound like he stated an opinion. Sounds like he’s pointing to objective facts like higher rates of 2 parent households that dropped off a cliff after the 1960s.
Can you tell us how much melanin one needs to state such a fact?

The decline starts after the War on Poverty. If I remember correctly, unemployment declines until the WOP, then stabilizes for a few years before starting a gradual but steady increase. He formed an opinion from that statistic. That is literally the argument that's being made by him. Do you understand why integration hurt black owned businesses? I never argued it didn't hurt them. I agree that is a fact. It's the why that mattersLiterally no one is making this argument. This is why I continue to mock you. Because you’ve not been adult enough to engage in an honest conversation. Despite having lived through the 60s
It’s not my argument. If you were asking me why black single parent households exploded after 60s my answer would be the sexual revolution and welfare
But I have already informed you of issues both academically and with loss of black owned businesses that obviously harmed black community and were both direct results of integration

Did it ever occur to you that maybe blacks should have been given equal rights at the end of the Civil War? @McDad and I had that conversation last night when he asked me what I thought about a more natural form of integration. My response was that it would have been better to begin the process as we entered the 20th centuryIt’s not. But if it is, show your evidence. Where did Kirk say that black people should not have equal rights?
I’ll save you some time, he did not.
I do. They now had to compete with better funded white owned businesses.
That was an opinion. He presented facts to support his opinion. He wasn’t advocating a return to the 40s but that a lot of the changes have hurt the black community more than helped. His number one point is that we have subsidized single motherhood. The single motherhood rate in the black community has tripled since the 1940s. CK advocates for the black community and hosts black youth summits. You said he was stating facts. I think you mean he was stating his beliefs as to why they had it better. Did you notice he was debating a black female in that one exchange?
My point of asking about your race is YOU can't possibly know for fact unless you've walked a mile in those shoes

People’s need to fit his ideology into a neat box seems almost like a defense mechanism for a lot of people. Not saying that this wasn’t politically motivated, but if you’re looking for a lot of nuance in his motive, you’re probably going to be disappointed. In the coming days we’ll probably hear a lot of “smart kid. Always seemed a strange. Prone to go over the top with everything” type stuff.Somebody pointed out that people that engage in this type of political violence don't usually fit neatly into an ideological box, especially if you're trying to put them in a broad left/right box.

It was intended to. LBJ knew he was creating a permanent voting block and destruction of the family would be an acceptable cost. This^^^
The War on Poverty severely damaged poorer communities all across this country of all races, but it really hit the inner city black community hard. It's a damn shame, and democrats continue to push for it wanting to add more and more free shiz.
