Patel inherited an Agent that for at least 10 years (very probably longer) has focused more on politics and DEI hires than being a viable LE agency. There is so much rot in that agency a complete restructuring has to be done.

But of course, you don't see it that way because you want federal LE agencies being used as tools for Democratic politicians to use against their opponents.

I strongly agree with your description of the current state of the bureau. If you think Patel is the right person to implement those reforms I strongly disagree with that.

The only thing to do is become Charlie ourselves. Try to change minds WITHOUT resorting to anger. This will be a very difficult change for me.

The way Comey handled the Clinton email investigation was literally the exact opposite of competent.

I didn't hear the Asian slur, must have missed it. But I didn't like his qualification of qualified. And if I had to guess he meant to say "most qualified". If he were called out on that during the debate I imagine he would have conceded to that much at least. But yes, I found that statement without clarification as problematic.

And to that point I agree. In general, if I'm hiring someone to do a job for me I want the best person, most qualified person not the most qualified person from race A or B, in short no one should be ruled out or not considered because of their race, for any reason.

Oh I disagree strongly with this. It was bad but it was completely in line with his agenda. If he truly believed what he reported there sound have been at a minimum a grand jury referral.

And context matters. He said dei could make one question a person’s actual qualifications instead of simply being qualified based on merit.

Unfortunately, the left has nothing to offer but hate. This tragedy has shown the world how hate resides on the left. Leftists have done irreparable harm to the democrat party by showing just exactly who they are and what they stand for. Disgusting does not go far enough to describe all of those on the left celebrating the murder of a husband and father. What was nice to see was the many that came out and said they had been democrat in the past, but this evil has made them change. Nothing will change until the left finds something other to cling to than hate.

I’d point to his career senior military career and his posts for starters. He has the background to step into the role. He is absolutely a war dog I agree with you. But that doesn’t mean he didn’t know how to run the department of defense. Wait my bad. The department of war.
