Charlie Kirk Shot and killed

Wikipedia undoubtedly has a liberal bias, but in fairness they changed the George Floyd article to "Murder of George Floyd" after Chauvin was found guilty of murder. Until then, it was titled "Killing of George Floyd" according to the page history.

For example, the Breonna Taylor article is "Killing of Breonna Taylor" since the officer(s) weren't found guilty of murder. Same for Michael Brown.

Charlie Kirk assassin most likely ‘internet shooter’ who took advantage of low-security spot: elite sharpshooter

An elite American sharpshooter believes the assassin who fatally shot Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on Wednesday was an “internet shooter” and not a trained soldier.

US Army Sgt. Nicholas Ranstad said the unidentified gunman, who remains at large Thursday morning, was most likely self-taught and didn’t have any military firearm training.

“They’re probably just an internet shooter, not a sniper or trained soldier,” Ranstad said.

Ranstad, who holds the record for longest American kill in Afghanistan, described the open-air area where Kirk was set up as a “fishbowl” amid high ground and multi-level buildings.

“Money for shooters. Shooting down is easy,” he said.

Ranstad estimated the single fatal shot that rang out across campus was fired from over 200 yards away, and the lax security created a perfect condition for the shooter to get in without being noticed.

“When you have events like that, you look at the security, if you push 250, 300 yards, it’s an easy shot,” he said.

“Not to mention out in the open, wind is low out in the country. It’s not like in the city where a bullet flying past the buildings will move more,” Ranstad added.

He called on investigators to check local gun ranges for any unusual activities in the weeks leading up to Kirk’s murder.

“Any bloke can go to the range three or four times and make that shot. I would start looking at range time if I was police,” he told the outlet. “They should get all the videos, who’s got what rifle and who isn’t properly trained so don’t know how to control their blood pressure and adrenaline.

The gunman had meticulously planned out the shooting along with his escape to avoid capture, according to Ranstad.

“He probably had an exit plan. Normally it’s crazy people who shoot 30 rounds. This was one shot, that was it,” he said.

“In my opinion, they had a plan. If you think about it, one shot, he’s not caught … when I saw the old dude, I knew it wasn’t him,” Ranstad said, referring to an older man who was recorded being “detained” by police moments after the shooting.

What is wrong w/ these people? I’m still trying to figure out what Charlie Kirk actually did to these people? What is he responsible for? Did he hold office or make laws? Nope. You may dislike his POV on things, I understand that, but this is hatred to a ridiculous level. It’s incredibly sad.
Look around at the lefties on this forum, they were clearly threatened by him. Pathetic really.

no its time to start holding people accountable

I agree...however America and Americans were objectively better off BEFORE the smartphone and S.M. existed. At 48yo I am part of the last generation that knows what it was like to grow up and live without the internet, SM, and smartphones. People were FAR more motivated and productive. Less distracted, LAZY, and ignorant. Young people today have LESS knowledge than their parents. Score lower on the same standardized tests. Are more depressed and mentally ill than ever before. Actually studying and reading books about every subject has turned into simply typing the question into Google or AI and copy/pasting THEIR information. Nothing gets retained as knowledge because no effort was exerted. No new neural pathways were formed to store the memories. The whole Western world has gone to crap since smartphones and SM came to everyone.

That would be your theory when one considers the notion that you are dumber than a sack of cat sh*t.

I can honestly tell you his death neither bothers nor invigorates me.
It should bother you when people from either side are trying to silence the other with bullets. That’s not what the USA is about. If it doesn’t bother you, you are part of the problem.

I’d like to think that those in this forum who shared a much different POV than CK would be secure enough and have enough sympathy to see that he was more than a political influencer, but also a guy who had a family who was taken from them for nothing .

I’m a .22lr guy. Most versatile and it’s the best caliber for survival. But outside of that, I love 7mm magnum
Used to do a lot of plinking with .22lr with military buddies. We'd grab a couple of bricks at $10 per and head to the range. Now they run $40-50 each. Jeez.

Second time I've seen him try to deflect that he doesn't care at all. These type of people are the ones that care the most. He is completely consumed by the news and can't focus on anything else. Look at his avatar and try to count how many posts he's made in this thread alone.
