I dont know how indicative my kids are at 17yo and 24yo...since they have been always raised in Church and have the same beliefs as Charlie. Both of mine are very sad and very frustrated and probably a little scared at least my 17yo daughter anyway. This is a BIG deal to our Church family and especially the youth. He dedicated his life to students/kids and leading them to sharpen their beliefs.

Is he combative, antagonistic, demeaning in the versions you watch from his opponents?

Wish I could pray that image out of her mind but I cannot. She has a Beyond the Basics Bible study class after church tonight. Hope she skips it and comes home so I can comfort her.

Edit: I trust that God can comfort her better than I ever could. I just selfishly want her with me because she is upset.

That was a rhetorical device he used. A "shock" comment followed up with gracious explanation and discussion. I really do not believe Kirk had a shred of hate for anyone.

Well yeah, that was the point of that anecdote. I don't watch that much of him, but I do see him being condescending and dismissive, like when he called the kid's argument "silly" when he didn't have a response.

Edit: It's an impossible ask to be cool and calm and collected all the time when your profession is debate. I'm admittedly too aggressive with debate, which is a big reason why I almost completely avoid it in my personal life. I'm not saying he was a very antagonistic guy comparing him to his profession. I do think he had some opinions that are especially distasteful.

Charlie Kirk didn’t help “produce a world where this can happen” any more than I am or you are, he stated his opinions just like you are now and except he was shot for his because his platform was bigger and he was very very successful at relaying his opinions to those that didn’t share them. The old “he brought this on himself” is a take only the most weak minded of us would throw out there. If someone on this board were to harm you in any way for giving leftist opinions, I damn sure wouldn’t be singing the tune of you had it coming. You should strive to do better.

America...hell the WORLD needs a great reset! Its so far gone now. Unless God divinely intervenes and we see a huge spiritual awakening, I'm afraid its lost forever! May my young kids forgive me for bringing them into this horrible world. I love them, but sometimes I truly question whether or not my wife and I made the right decision.

Well. Unfortunately being discussed on liberal XM radio is how much hatred Kirk had towards POC, foreigners and the gay community.
