Charlie Kirk Shot and killed

Christians have always been viewed as polarizing. And have been persecuted for their beliefs as long as they have existed. They get chopped up and slaughtered in the middle east and China on a regular basis. For beliefs that don't settle well with others. If Kirk was polarizing it's because he never compromised on truths. And yet he never hated anyone that disagreed with him. He might have debated them. But, everything I ever heard out of his mouth was either backed by the constitution or the bible.
Agreed. Not a single position he supported was polarizing.

Every time this ******** happens it's the same line. "Well, the right will eventually retaliate!"... and they don't.

The left is at fault. The left stirs this stuff up. You have an acting mainstream leftist politician that has spoken out already about how this is Trump's fault, the right's fault. There is no logical or justified finger that can be pointed at the right.

If we had a just country, you wouldn't even dare to make the lazy point that "it's only a matter of time!".
Weren’t two democratic state legislators from MN gunned down in their own homes by a Trump supporter like 3 or 4 months ago? You don’t even know who shot Kirk but you’re foaming at the mouth to blame the left.

I didnt watch but my daughter did on accident and called me crying. She just saw the tag line that he had been shot and pressed play not thinking it was the actual footage. Wish I could pray that image out of her mind but I cannot. She has a Beyond the Basics Bible study class after church tonight. Hope she skips it and comes home so I can comfort her.

Edit: I trust that God can comfort her better than I ever could. I just selfishly want her with me because she is upset.
You always seem like such a good dude. 👍🏻

No one should die from gun violence except where it was absolutely required in self-defense. However, if I had to choose who would die from gun violence between a kid just trying to go to school and learn who gets gunned down by a mass shooter and a blow-hard far-right political instigator who made his entire living off of raising the political temperature to where it is is now and who said that gun violence is a worth it as the price of admission for having the second amendment, I know which lesser of the two evils I would choose.
Ah, yes, the half azzed condolence post. Please GTFO with this crap.

You want to keep score on this one, chief? Especially in light of the backgrounds of most of the recent tranny school shooters and their families?

It's the beginning of the end for America at this point. Expect political violence to increase over the coming years. The 2 parties win votes by keeping people angry at each other so nothing will ever change until America has either collapsed or is on the verge.
So true. In fact, you can see us sliding now, and over recent decades. Our political system has been rendered ineffective. Other countries are taking advantage (China). The solutions I can see seem fanciful at best. Get money out of politics. Get most people to stop consuming partisan media that gets extra clicks by being extra partisan (thank you algorithems on social media). Get back to deal making and making choices that keep us the leader in the world of the next big things. Alternatively, remain in stagnation, watch our standing slip along with our economy, and prepare for ever more violence.

Given the hundreds of school shootings that happen in this country every year, the two committed by trans people is still lagging way behind.
"Hundreds every year."

Like I said, retard alert here. Check those failing math results and we see how someone that can't understand data and statistics somehow makes it out into society.

What a pathetic stance.

I am saddened by it. It's really regrettable. However, Charlie Kirk very consciously made it his life's work to produce a world where this can and will happen.
Many, including me, will disagree. He expressed his thoughts and was open to others expressing their thoughts. I did not agree with everything he said, and, in fact, I do not 100% agree with anyone. However, I defend people's rights to speak freely. If you disagree with a position, then either discuss it or move on. Violence is not the answer to disagreement.

BTW, I am almost through reading the Bible in its entirety this year. God has opened my thoughts to many of my own shortcomings and made me re-evaluate my relationships with my family, my friends, and others. I pray that the time I spend reading the Bible changes me for the better. I have a lot to change, and the experience has been humbling.

We no doubt disagree on many things, but that is ok. Take care, my friend, and let's hope that we can dialogue calmly and safely in this country.
