So to explain this complex thing (a protein) we need to invoke something infinitely more complex (an all knowing, all powerful, all good being outside of space and time). Cool story bro.The odds of one minor protein being made randomly is impossible that is why there has to be a designer. Someone has to be a complete arrogant and ignorant fool to think that the complexities of our body was randomly done. So yes your arrogance and ignorance says God has no sway over you, you better hope you're right
But you have no problem pushing your religious beliefs. You accept some religious beliefs but you reject others. The religious place you reject you scream "you cannot legislate", but you push your religious beliefs and you also legislative. Stop being a hypocrite beardedYes. If you choose to try to legislate your religious beliefs on the nation, you are going to be held to a higher standard.
Pushing your religious beliefs through legislation, while you may feel is an obligation to your religion, is antithetical to the core concepts that the United States was founded on.
To be honest, I don't look it any differently than the muslims that want sharia law.
As I said but you can't seem to grasp, I'm not claiming to be right about anything. I'm just not convinced that your claims are correct. You're the one that's so cocksure. I'm just skeptical. The odds of one minor protein being made randomly is impossible that is why there has to be a designer. What is your argument, time. That's all you have, well it took a billion years, now it took 10 billion years, now it took 100 billion years. Talking about a fantasy story. So to explain this complex thing (a protein) we need to invoke something infinitely more complex (an all knowing, all powerful, all good being outside of space and time). What I am explaining to you is that the evidence of a creation, a designer is there. You reject it. You said you don't see evidence, but I'm explaining to you that the evidence is there. No matter what evidence you're presented you're going to rejectAs I said but you can't seem to grasp, I'm not claiming to be right about anything. I'm just not convinced that your claims are correct. That would be news to the founders. The assumption was that it was a Christian nation. They were trying to prevent dominance of one Christian sect over another which had occurred between Quakers, Catholics, Anglicans etc. If you were an atheist you would likely be censured. At best you could get by with being a Deist.People who believe that they are called by god to make the United States a 'Christian nation', will never accept that 'freedom from religion' was enshrined in the Constitution, just as much as 'freedom of religion'.
If you find it compelling, knock yourself out. In my mind, it's equivalent to just throwing your hands up and saying "gosh, I don't know, this is really hard. I can't figure it out. It must be something like a human, but bigger, stronger, faster, and more intelligent than me." I find that a cop out. Do you find that compelling? What is your argument, time. That's all you have, well it took a billion years, now it took 10 billion years, now it took 100 billion years. Talking about a fantasy story.
Case in point. You're never not going to believe that the United States, wasn't intended to be a "christian nation".That would be news to the founders. The assumption was that it was a Christian nation. They were trying to prevent dominance of one Christian sect over another which had occurred between Quakers, Catholics, Anglicans etc. If you were an atheist you would likely be censured. “It is impossible for the man of pious reflection not to perceive in it [the Constitution] a finger of that Almighty hand which has been so frequently and signally extended to our relief in the critical stages of the revolution.”
James Madison
Not everyone needs the threat of 'eternal damnation' to have a moral compass in their decision-making.
The majority of those on the left do not appear to have a moral compass or it’s broken, considering the policies that are supported from that side.
