Awesome!!! Charlie Garner was one of the all time Vol Greats!!!

Considering the number of jerseys Dr Loomis has, it is clear that he is Warren Buffet!!
I mean he is the only person who could afford them! JMO

Although.........He could be Jeff Bezos too so.......!?!?!

or Mark Zuckerberg......or Bill Gates.....or Larry Ellison..... or.....???

In my opinion the best jerseys the Vols have ever worn were the ones made for the ‘97 Citrus Bowl vs Northwestern. They were incredible.37A8073C-1C8F-4059-8845-1F72D56995F1.jpegC25A5836-F8B1-4BC5-8FE6-273F2FDEDAF2.jpegE52C3C5F-E3BD-45DA-96F0-F6C4EC058EC7.jpeg

Vintage! Side note: (I apologize if this is common knowledge) Jesse Clyde Lee, the owner and founder of Sports Belle, Inc. the Knoxville-based athletic apparel company who made the Charlie Garner jersey shown above (the label is even shown in the 2nd picture), plead guilty to arson in 2014 for burning the Pleasant Ridge Road plant and headquarters in 2008. He really fell on hard times after Tennessee dumped Sports Belle for Adidas.

That is a great jersey... I don't necessarily think our away jerseys from back then looked that good (Keith Jackson was right in the '94 UCLA game - the untrimmed numbers were nearly impossible to see away from the field), but it's reminiscent of a great era for Tennessee and for college football. Congrats on the new addition.

If that weight is correct , after watching that video I’m even more impressed than I was with CJ . I don’t know if I just forgot he was that small or it’s a case of ... in my memories our teams in the 90s just seemed to be bigger . ( maybe it’s just how we played )

If Ty Chandler ever wants to emulate someone, Charlie Garner is the guy. Wicked, quick cuts, and never down until you wrap him up and get his feet off the ground.

Hey - I've got some used white athletic socks that I'd be glad to sell you. Believe Charlie wore socks very similar to mine. $15 each or $35 for the pair.

If we're going vintage white's I like the Reggie White era. Just me personally, but never liked the black outline jerseys...except that we had an extremely high winning percentage wearing them...in which case, I like them alot.

Well, Keith Jackson was a arrogant self absorbed bore toward the end of his career. Aside from this little snipe, I especially enjoyed his virtual hijacking of the 2nd half of our NC game to celebrate a retirement that didn’t happen.

Jackson’s favorite 3 words? “Al—-aaa——bama”

Always seemed like a Big Ten guy to me. He had southern roots obviously but working for ABC had him calling a lot of Big Ten games.
