There's a thread about him on TOS.
THIS HAS to be a stupid joke.
No way he is being considered.
He has no coaching experience and stole Peyton's Heisman.

Stealing PM Heisman has nothing to do with it even if it was true. If he can coach, bring him on.

Probably a joke about us interviewing another Heisman (Chris Weinke) for QB coach/oc. The headline on 247 just said vols interviewing former Heisman.

Dorsey would be a great get. But he didn't win one. He was a finalist twice for the Heisman trophy but never won one so don't want as a coach.....

I doubt it will happen, but if it would mean our cornerbacks are shown Woodson's skill set? I doubt Peyton would be offended by him being here, so why should I? If you want to be offended, hold it against the Heisman voters.

Woodson won a Heisman and retired from the league with a successful career, makes him more than capable as a coach. Recruiting may take some getting to know, but he definitely has the knowledge of the game to coach.

That's like saying Peyton has no coaching experience, so we wouldn't want him coaching QB's here.

The coaching experience is a valid reason.

The part about the Heisman should have absolutely nothing to do with it.

They stole the joke from here. If you had been quicker you could have taken it over the for millions of e-cred points. Collect enough points and you can pick something from the prize wall

Can he get DB's to turn around and look for the ball? If so, sign him up. He can cart the trophy around on the sideline for all I care.

Jokes aside, why is hiring one of the best CBs to ever play the game a bad idea because he has no experience coaching?

I guess you're also strongly against hiring Peyton, too?

I love the fact that people can't get over something that did not personally impact their lives in any way.

Woodson was amazing then and all throughout his hall of fame career.

It was a vote. People were tired of Peyton and Woodson was electric and on an undefeated team. It happens. I think they got it wrong, but it's over with, by a loooooooong time.

It happens. Anyone still actually mad about it puts way too much into their fandom.

Grow up.

When Manning and Woodson both got drafted, some said Peyton would have a longer and greater career. They both retired in the same season.

And though I feel Peyton deserved that Heisman, I am not going to blame Woodson for it. That is just ignorant.

Woodson was like D. Sanders, when the light was shinning on him he made great plays. I hated Peyton didn't win it and I think if he'd beat Florida it was in the bag. Yet, I don't blame or hate Woodson for his awesome play or being selected. All Woodson did was shine when the camera lights were the brightest.

It wasn't Woodson's fault, the voters did it. I think Peyton should have won for sure, but woodson was a great player and seems like a class act. Silly to blame a man that did nothing but go out and play good football, the only folks to blame is the VOTERS! GBO!!!!!

This is typical of threads, one poster says he stole it and then a million more including myself go hog wild flaming it and people assume everybody is saying woodson stole it. When in fact the only one that did was the thread starter "see above". In his defense I will give him the benefit of the doubt that what he really meant was the voters stole it. He is right about him not having coaching experience but he didn't steal nothing, the voting committee did that. But Woodson is a great player and put himself in position for the award, GBO!!!! And I will add just because he hasn't coached don't mean he wouldn't be a good one, just like Manning has never coached but I bet the thread starter wouldn't turn him down. LOL!!!! GBO!!!!!

I'm not mad at CW, but the media definitely had it in their head that a D player was going to win it.

CW stats
7 INT 0 TDs
226 Yards from scrimmage 3 TD
283 return yards 1 TD

Carl Pickens 1989
4 INT 1 TD
84 yard from scrimmage 2 TD
650 return yards 1 TD

He had 4 INT despite playing D for only 4 games.

My point is, it was a trendy thing to do at the time. There's no way CW has the greatest season on defense in CFB history. Just look at Reggie White's senior year.

CW was a great player and I have nothing against him, but the Heisman is just a silly meaningless award.
