The linked report that article references says he'll be special teams coach with some defensive responsibilities. Sounds like someone took some liberties of their own or didn't bother reading.

I just got a feeling our S/C coach will come from Alabama. They have the best S/C coach in the game at Bama. I think Pruitt will bring in one of those guys who has been learning from him. Just have to wait until after the bowl game.

Didn't see it posted here yet, maybe I missed the thread. If so please move it.

FSU DC Charles Kelly will be on the staff at Tennessee.

It's being reported several places and I know it to be true knowing some people connected to Charles from when he was at GT.

I was told he will be the 10th coach and likely in a special teams role.

Charles worked at Tech as the secondary coach for several years. You won't find a better man and he's a great recruiter as well. He found several under the radar guys at Tech and developed talent well.

Things didn't go as well as the DC at FSU but he's a excellent position coach.

Looks like UT is the place to be for all these great successful younger coaches. Seems they want to build a great program in Knoxville. Awesome :rock: :rock:
