Screw you and your self righteous judgement of other posters who have a different opinion or take on things as you do.

You got some sort of PROOF or EVIDENCE against Schiano you're not sharing? Let's see it. Otherwise, take your conjecture (which is libelous, by the way), and shove it.

Hiring anyone that was connected to that program during the Sandusky era is a problem as far as I'm concerned. You just gave someone grief about not letting others have their opinions and jumped on him for having his. Hypocrite much?

No, not much. He called my judgement into question--go back and read. I didn't jump on him for having an opinion--he jumped on me for having one. I told him to present evidence..same for you.

His personality has nothing to do with it. Schiano is associated with Jerry Sandusky. I believe he kept quiet about child abuse at PSU. I dont care if Schiano denies it or not, I dont want anyone who has ever been associated with Sandusky at Tennessee.

Agree with you BOT. It also wouldn't mesh with the criteria Currie laid out in his presser after firing Butch. I don't think it will be Schiano.

I'm almost starting to think it's someone currently coaching in the NFL. A coordinator..

Cooter or McDaniels? I would be fine with either of these, esp. McDaniels, who I've started a few threads about on here and been laughed at for suggesting.

Have a feeling we will get something out of left field. CD was allegedly talking about an assistant in the um osu game being tabbed for new vols staff. Not HC mind you, but as an assistant. Only one i could figure was worthwhile was pep hamilton. If he were to be an assistant, my guess is coach would be shaw. They have a history together. Theres my contribution to the endless speculation

I could definitely get on board with David Shaw but he and his wife supposedly loves their current situation6

It won't be Schiano. I work in the media in Columbus and have been in touch with my sports director who was with OSU in Ann Arbor the last two days. There wasn't even a hint over two days that Schiano is going anywhere. The rumors haven't even gone around the Buckeye locker room. At this point, to put it since, you can discount anything you've seen reported connecting UT and Schiano.

Thanks

It’s crazy how tonight the talk has been Schiano but it just can’t be Schiano there’s no way. He’s not that good of a head coach. He’s not liked, and that’s not to mention the Penn State scandal. Fans would riot over this hire.

I have to believe this is smoke screen.

I believe the candidates are,

Gruden (don’t believe it but always alive til someone is hired)

Petersen my top choice he reached out a few weeks back and Currie met him earlier this week he wants out of Washington.

Frost my 2nd choice this is better job than Nebraska. I’m not sure he wants Florida.

Mullen still an option

I believe we are gonna reel in the Offensive Mastermind Mike Leach as our next coach. Expecting an announcement within the next 36hrs. This is a very solid hire. Currie tried for Gruden, Kelly, and Petersen, and was coming up empty. So Leach is right behind them on the list. Checks all the boxes. Proven winner, not scared away by SEC competition, very good "in game coach", can get him on a decent deal since he only makes 2.85mil a yr at WashSt, and the most important factor - He WANTS the Tennessee job and sees it as one of the top jobs in the country. He will stay here til he retires if hired. He can average a 10-2 record each yr in the SEC East. I heard that he will keep Shoop on as D-Coordinator too, which is a good idea. Leach can get our offense putting up 35-42 points a game, and Shoop can have our D holding them to 21 and under on his side. Will make for a good team. People will complain, but Leach is very solid and proven. He's gonna have UT winning quick. Get excited Vols fans!

Leach can come. I'm fine with the mad scientest. Plus, great pressers. But, Shoop has to go. Our defense is terrible.
