Being a UT alum in enemy territory and after a year of Kiffin antics, I just want to see a coach with some morals who will run a clean program. To h--- with the Nu'kees Richardsons and Mike Edwards type recruits. We may not win the SEC for a few years, but I think Mr. Dooley is a smart young coach (married to a physician proves it) and will be sucessfull and not have the NCAA drawing a bead on us.

Give the man a chance. After all did we really want a tired retread like Cutcliffe?

I want to win too but not with scum on the field! We should be better than that.

Did we have to aim for the gutter in the first place? There is no way in hell that all these highly qualified candidates turned us down unless Hamilton was trying to lowball them or try to get them to keep the current staff (should leave it up to the incoming coach).

I think Hamilton...instead of going after the MOST QUALIFIED coaches and doing whatever it takes to get them onboard, he was looking for the best value for the dollar. A budget rental coach. And in so doing, he just did as much damage as Kiffin.

This is a catastrophic hire, IMHO.

He didn't deliver. If he delivered, I wouldn't be nearly as furious. I just want championships.
The Fab Five won a NCAA B'ball championship at Michigan...........Wait, I just checked the record book......where did it go!

You basically say you want a Fulmer-type coach in the first paragraph and ended with that question?

You are wrong.

Would be nice to have someone with class running the program. I guess a lot of people really don't care about character or class or dignity or respect or any of those things (winning is all that is important to them). To me, however, how TN's coach conducts himself is a reflection of our University and of the great state of TN. I don't think class and winning are mutually exclusive though, so if you want, you can have both.
