Last night before bed I decided to re-watch the South Carolina game because I wanted to see Tyler in action again and while watching I noticed Channing Fugate. The kid is fierce. Aside from the obvious play makers, Channing has become one of my favorite top 5.

Once the O-line becomes more of a solidified group, our backs running behind Channing are going to become even more productive. I'd say 2-3 more yards per carry productive. He will also give Tyler a second or two more time in the pocket. The future became that much more brighter in my eyes.

So here's to Channing Fugate :toast:, glad you are here.

Nice find by the previous staff. One of our early takes. Hopefully many of the current commitments will turn out like him.

Had a couple great blocks I noticed on some of the reverses and a couple of Poole's runs. Didn't really focus on him too much but he did get his hat on a defender on every play.

Very true and whenever Channing earns the permanent starting role, you'll see our backs start to get to next level more.

He did impress me too. He looked real solid on his blocking and the fact that he was passed too and made a play out of it like it was nothing was impressive as well. He's gonna be a good FB.

Didn't I read today that Channing passed Kevin Cooper in the depth chart that was released today?

I'd like to see more handoffs to the Fullback out of the I on 3rd and short situations.

I read a SI article on Richardson in September. Helluva a player and even a better person

He played well against the Cocks. One thing that has really irked me with our running backs lately is them dancing at the line of scrimmage. Someone needs to tell those guys to hit the hole. I saw Poole and Neal both do it a couple of times when there was a huge gap for them to run through.

The kid is gonna be special. He looked bigger than i thought he was and made some big time blocks. With Bray, Fugate, and the other freshmen the next few years have the potential to be fun to watch.

Amsler was a stud - Majors teams always had a power back ala Amsler - Roland Poles, William Henderson, the list is long and replete with guys who were fun to watch. I loved seeing the linemen downfield laying the lumber in that Amsler clip.

Amsler was one of my favorite players back in the day. Had he not been on the Cardinals and subsequently gotten injured, I think he would've been like Moose Johnson. The guy could do it all

Andrew Gribble on GVX reported that he is #1 on the depth chart this week and Cooper is available. Dooley quoted "Ole Channing played pretty good..."

Yeah..another thing was Poole not taking the outside..several times he had space on the outside and instead decided to cut inside. What the hell was that all about? I know he's not the fastest guy in the world, but he could have at least got 6 or 7 yards on those runs instead of the 1 yard or minus yardage he did get.
