Pearl and McBee shouldn't see 10 total minutes in games anymore....absolutely kill us when they play with their fouls and pitiful offensive ability

I like Bruce and everything he has given the vols. But sadly I think he is done here.

Just depends on how much of an example the NCAA feels they need to make of him next month

If it was to team we should lose to then it is crazy talk. But two of these losses in a row is unacceptable.

Before Pearl those wouldn't have been upset loses. We would have been an underdog to Oakland for sure and probably a 2 point dog against Charlotte.

All of this matters only if we tank the SEC this year. We take care of business come January-March and these two losses will not look that bad for the big prize of seeding for the tourney.

Just about all the tourney teams are going to have a few blemishes on the resume. That is just college basketball.

Tad harsh over 2 regular season losses, even to sucky teams.

In the interview CBS aired at halftime Pearl sounded like a he was done. He said "I may not survive this I may be without a job and I'm working without a contract". Maybe that doesn't mean he's done but not the half time interview I want to see from my coach. Not exactly good for recruiting at the least. Also makes me wonder how much weight Pearl carries in the locker room

could just be this decision's looming over all of them.
We've all spent the last week reading everyone and their mother say or write that Pearl's either get hammer or have to be fired; they're reading and hearing all this stuff too

we undoubtedly have the dumbest, most drama queen/bipolar fanbase on the planet.

I couldn't agree more. Saying that Pearl is or should be done here because of the last two games is nothing short of absurd. Bad games happen. Bad stretches happen. I wonder if these same people were saying Manning was done after he threw 11 picks over 3 games.

That being said, if CBP wants to get his team on track, he HAS to accept the fact that his son is, without question, the worst player on the team. I honestly believe that, despite how poor the team as a whole has played in the last two games, we would have won both of them had garbage-pearl never stepped on the court. I've cussed CBP out countless times this season, and I'm pretty sure every single one of those times has been when I looked at the scorer's table and saw garbage-pearl waiting to check in with a lead under 30 points. He's a liability on both sides of the ball and it disgusts me how much PT he gets. I'm so glad he's a senior. Worst case scenario, we only have to see this putrid excuse for a D-1 basketball player for another 3 1/2 months.

I thought tonight was the worst coaching job I have ever seen from Pearl. This substitution pattern is beyond ridiculous. Harris gets 24 minutes while Steven Pearl and McBee see way too many minutes. Both those guys on the floor at the same time is a guaranteed failure. These last 2 games have been as disappointing as the 2 big wins were impressive. Got to get headed back in the right direction.

I don't think anyone said Pearl was done based on the last two games. I did say I think he may be done here based on his halftime interview. I like Pearl but I don't see the point of giving interviews like that at this time. If you watched it I think you would agree it didn't sound like a man planning for the future here. I may be wrong and hope I am but no where did I say he "is done" or "should be done" because of the last two games. Something is obviously distracting this team and it's not the competetion.

Couldn't be said any better; we lose by 1 point he played 11 min offered ZERO value to the team could have gave those min to ANYONE else and got at least an ounce of production and possibly sniffed out a win. But instead we have "Daddy Ball" at the major college level its a joke. My feelings would NOT be hurt if he's not our coach he has done tremendouse things here but to play your son over guys on scholarship is a JOKE. I can outplay Steven Pearl (a.k.a. Big Beeeek)

I hear ya, Dunlap. For clarification, I wasn't referring to you in my post. I guess I should've been more clear, but I was really referring to utvols88, because he said Pearl's time is done, and then in his next post specifically referenced the past two games.

As for the interview, I didn't see it, but I definitely hate to hear about it...I'm hoping it was one of those things where what he said didn't reflect what he meant, and he didn't realize how it sounded. I definitely don't want Pearl to go anywhere; who are we going to get that's better? I just want him to stop being a dad for 40 minutes on every game day.

When Mcmiss and Pearl enters the game were automatically 3 against 5.They bring nothing to the floor and offer nothing. The stupid rotation is nothing but stupid.Hopson is back to his old self.
The word around where I live is Mcrae will not be back next year and I dont blame him one bit.I got to watch this kid alot and Mcmiss or Pearl cant carry his jock.
