Aren't rumors wonderful.

Gee, let me start one. I heard that Dooley is going to quit after the bowl because he and hamilton can not agree about the blueprint for the new workout center.


Lets start another. I heard that Dooley, Pearl, and Summitt would be switching jobs for 2011 to keep it fresh and new.

I heard that the vols will not have the exact same team in 2011 that they had in 2010. Heard some player will leave the team. WOW

I really hope it's nobody. I love the staff. All these guys I've seen on the DD show at some point, & they all seem all Vol. I'm not sure I buy this "rumor" just yet.

In passing during a the packer show Griff made the comment that he didn't think "all the D coaches were on the same page". Griff, "Don't be suprised if there wasn't a change".. That's all he said and not one person asked him about it. But the way he was referencing it like it was position coach not the head DC.

Against Florida, he had a brilliant plan and baited their secondary with dinks and dumps and then burnt them downfield on two plays. Just because he had Simms to work with, Moore hurt, and Jones hurt the first part of the season doesn't justify "oh he was terrible." Look what he did vs. comparable talent and a fully healthy players.

But nice try... there's a little more to football then saying hey this is going to be a run or this is going to be a pass. Maybe you should read up on that.

Agree. He made the offense look decent. That was the major surprise of the season, imo. I'm as happy as can be with Chaney.

Keeping our D and O coordinators will be important for continuity. I'd love to keep. CCS, CLT, CCB, and Hinshaw.

Agreed. Every thread I've seen him post is basically a one or two sentence copy and paste from another site about a possible rumor with nothing to back it up. He also never comes into his own thread to ever clear anything up or substantiate any claims. I really don't understand what purpose he serves, yet threads like this go on for pages and pages.

I'm not close to the program but I think we have very good coaches and I have no problem with Chaney's play-calling. Execution is always the key to any play. I'm sure the play calling was very limited in the first few games until the freshmen got some experience under their belt and grew into the process. No sense in calling a play if they think the odds of success are against us.

My reply above about Frank Wilson is that he is the key to the 5 * LSU recruit. Wilson liked Tennessee , but didn't like the last staff and was the first to jump ship. To make a long story short , I was told he might replace someone on the staff. That would mean Anthony Johnson would be back on board. Inturn , Anthony was the mystery recruit. Not that I believe this to be fact , but it's what I have heard. If anyone can squash the rumor it's LWS or LV. Honestly , I don't believe any of it.

hadn't heard that and would be surprised if he came back. true on his feelings regarding last staff. the half that didn't go with them, didn't like them at all.

I guess I should be clear on not believing any of it. I do believe that he didn't get along with the last staff. I just thought that Wilson coming back and bringing AJ with him hard to believe.

Does Dooley coach our RB's ?? Could we add another coach w/o having to lose one? Frank could come coach the RB's...

maybe it is because dooley wants to go in a diferent direction. there is alot of coaching changes right now so maybe he wants to grab someone up...

lord i just wish we could keep a dang coaching staff together for more than one year...

I just hope we do it in a way that nets recruits. Get someone better to fill the gap.
