Change coming?

Why does losing with Maurer make it ok? That's where I'm lost.. The QB isn't going to change the result of the next 5 games, anybody who believes that is in denial.. We are a bad football team, we do bad football team things, and while JG contributes to this. That won't change the other problems we have.
I can pretty much pinpoint both losses on JG more than any other player or position for that matter.

With all due respect, I have been around long enough to see “the backup QB” become “the most popular guy on the team” many times.
Seriously though. What, they're still stuck on Chryst? A guy who was here for one season? A guy whom only a few of the radicals on volnation were singing his praises? They're overreaching imo.

If JG plays all game tomorrow don’t be shocked if the score is something around 17-10 UTC. Idk how good their QB and defense is but if ours can’t stop BYU it’s going to be interesting against UTC...strap in it’s gonna be a wild ride tomorrow!

If by chance JG gets benched I can not wait to hear Ktown-Kings explanation uh um excuses on why he was benched...I expect a complete meltdown tantrum with kicking and screaming and swearing revenge and all that good stuff...This might be better than the ballgame itself.

Prepare yourself.
If this team can somehow how manage to get a comfortable lead and someone other than JG is given a series or two expect to see the following.
Tim Jordan in the backfield and the QB handing the ball to him, on just about every series. Possible a broken play scramble for five yards and one bubble screen for two yards.

I don't know where that graphic came from, but I don't think it's accurate. I have no idea what Brian's high school numbers were, but, I don't think JG has thrown 16 interceptions at Tennessee. Of course I could be wrong about that I'm just going off the top of my head. But also there's no way he's ran for 2+ yards per carry. He has career -150 yards rushing.

Those are both high school numbers

Well ... he wasn't the starter, and he wasn't the 2nd QB off the bench. But when those 2 went down, he was available to back them up.

I prefer to say "take over". As I remember no one replaced him after he went in.

However, I have been taken to the woodshed for saying he was never a "back up". In the truly excepted definition yes, he was a backup. But as far as I was and still am considered, he was just waiting to take over. To me, a back up is a guy with less than enough talent to be the starter and is truly backing up the starter. Peyton was no a back up in this sense of the word to me. He was just waiting. If he were not expected to take over that year, then why was he not red shirted to save a wasting a year of a career that was expected going in to be a great one?

Yes, remember Jim Maxwell aka The Blue Max?

Yes, remember Jim Maxwell aka The Blue Max?

foxxvol, That is a great example. I must admit I had to search that and read about him, it brought back a great story to me. Fourth QB on the depth chart!
Even though I played in high school with Tim Priest and followed his career and every game during that time till now, that is one story I had forgotten.
Thanks for the reminder, right now during our struggles I needed to read that story.

It literally says HS varisty stats at the top.

This isn't some sort of cryptic nod to fans about him playing or starting. It is what is; an appeal for fans to show up when attendance is expected to be low.

I believe you are exactly right.

I do hope BM gets some meaningful snaps though.
