Chaney

He is great in the passing game so I'm sure Bray would be upset if he left however he isn't a good coordinator for SEC football. We need more balance and if his history and time here so far are an indicator he doesn't have the patience or the desire to develop a running game. I guess I would rather him stay for two more years until Bray graduates but I wouldn't be to upset if he left.

Chaney gets people open! I am not sure who to blame in the running game, but i am very pleased Chaney as OC. We need him to stay a few more years!

When you have a quarterback like Bray, it's hard to maintain as much balance as it is with a quarterback like Simms in there. More emphasis was on the run game last week because Simms isn't capable of throwing it 30+ times a game effectively. I think it is vital to keep Chaney because in two seasons with Bray there have been flashes of brilliance on the offensive side.

No Simms makes better checks at the line for the running game. Hence why we somewhat effectively ran the ball against LSU and couldn't against any other defense. Don't get it confused, I want Bray as my QB because you always have a punchers chance of beating anyone. Coordinating the run game at the line is the biggest weakness in his game.

i hope he goes.

I think if Chaney stays we will eventually all love him. Think our offense last year was pretty good considering the bad talent. Think about how bad our offense was with better talent with Randy S. and Clawson. With superior talent I believe Chaney can do amazing things and would eventually be respected as a great OC in the SEC

You dont know that. Let's get some more talent and i bet Channey is good in the SEC.

All you guys that would rather have another OC here need to get a clue! UT just played possibly the best D in the country with one arm tied behind it's back. Yet, the offense moved the ball pretty well considering the circumstances. Chaney didn't throw the picks! If the O line does their job, Bray and Hunter are in the lineup, and UT has a RB like Lattimore or Richardson. You guys would be saying Chaney needs a raise to make sure he stays. There are too many uneducated fair weather fans on this site. It is ridiculous!

This might be the dumbest thing ever posted on VN.

If he leaves for Purdue, we would be even further behind in rebuilding our program. We need continuity right now within our staff, players, and administration.
