He's taken a lot of heat, and much of it justified, but you really hope the guy can be successful here 'cause he seems like a genuinely good person (7:30 for the quote BTW):

Let's hope for his sake the product does change this upcoming season. And ftr, I think we will be one of the top offenses in the SEC next season, imho.

I hope he can put it all together. Last year looked good passing at first, then even that went downhill. Hopefully the team has matured, the coaching has improved, and we will see good results this season.

Chaney has produced VERY productive offenses. Compared to his career, last year was an anomaly.

We have experience and depth. Our offense should be very good. I think our offense should be the best in the east, save maybe Georgia.

Better be "real" proud of the 2012 product....

Need to avoid key injuries, since that is ultimately what killed our offense last year. Our improved depth should help.

Honestly, I haven't really liked Chaney since he got here. The obvious issues are there in regards to running the ball. I also think he put the team in bad situations on many occasions.
For prime example, the lsu game. We can go into the 2nd quarter with momentum, (I can't remember if we were tied or ahead right now) with simms at qb, and with the ball on their side of the field. Instead, we take a shot, and they basically get a pick 6. I realize rivera was open, but you have to understand the situation and your personnell. I don't think he considered either in certain matchups and with worley and simms at qb.

I hope some stubbornness is gone.

I like Chaney. He understands the importance of making big plays...(20 plus yard passes). With that said, I do think we will also see an improvement in the run game.

I hope we get to see what it felt like to be on the other side of the 1990's UF offense.

The Cincy game was a glimpse IMO. UT put UC on their heels. They knew if they failed to score on any possession that they probably couldn't catch up again. The Vols early pushed UC out of any hopes of controlling the game with their run game. It played like most Fulmer vs Spurrier games in the 90's.
