Um, I read he did well w/ purdue...but anyone else a little uncomfortable w/ hiring someone staffed on the Rams from the last two years?

I mean it could just be me and living in St. Louis for the last few years that's doing that too i guess....

No.

The Rams' problem is that they have no line any more and refuse to address it. Orlando Pace is obviously at the end of his career and Alex Barron seems to have zero desire to actually play. Incognito is the only member of that line I'd like to have around.

I tend not to look a just the last two years being in the NFL but more what he did at Purdue where he probably should've stayed. If you want to judge him for his stint in the NFL then look at Saban and Spurrier to.

From the looks of it no more seeing these 2-3 yard passes anymore. We may be back as "Receiver U" again like we were before.

I am impressed with the staff CLK has put together, very excited about Orgeron, then here he comes with Chaney (If he can bring in QB's like he did at Purdue...great).

I wish spring practice began tomorrow. Happy New Year you all, from my perspective the VOLS are on the right path back to quality football and national respect!

My buddy had a similar experience. Him, my dad, and I went to the basketball season opener against Chattanooga, and for whatever reason, he decided to wear his bright yellow LSU hoodie. He got some puzzled looks, but that was customary. No one even gave him a hard time, and the ticket takers and concessions workers joked around with him about being lost, etc. In fact, the rudest thing was when we were on the shuttle back to the parking lot and a guy looked at him and said, "You know LSU is losing to Troy right now?" and smirked. The entire bus just kinda looked at my friend to see his reaction, and he was just like, "You serious?...dang, we suck." It kinda ticked me off that the guy would have told him that out loud and in front of everybody and put him on the spot, so I said really loud so the whole bus to hear, "It's ok. We lost to friggin' Wyoming. We Tennessee football fans know this pain, and it will pass my friend." The few Vols fans who kinda enjoyed my friend's disappointment quickly turned back to what they were doing, and a few others smiled and laughed.

He's from New Orleans and is a Katrina transplant, so he's only been to Knoxville when we had like basketball games there in high school. He had a lot of fun, and got to see the city and the people. I was very proud to see how he was treated by Vols fans. Actually, I think LSU and UT have two of the classiest fan bases in the SEC. At least compared to Bama and Gator fans, that is.^^

Wasn't Chaney at Purdue when Stubblefield set the NCAA record for career catches? He seemed like a player with minimal talent that just ran great routes and never dropped anything. Maybe Chaney has a good WR coach from his past or maybe he's capable of coaching it.
