Forget all of the idle talk about Jim Chaney leaving UT to become the new OC at LSU.

LSU has hired former Louisville and Tulsa Coach, Steve Kragthorpe as their new OC.
slmandel

RT @RandyRosetta: A source confirms that Kragthorpe is LSU's new offensive coordinator. Trying to get him or Miles on the record. #lsu
You worry warts can relax now.

Haha Man I love those Bayou pussy cats! This guy is a scrub! He was terrible at A&M, failed at Tulsa, FAILED majorly at Louisville! He is supposedly some offensive guru and has all these fresh ideas he is a poor poor man's Malzahan/Petrino knockoff. He coached me when I went to the A&M football camp years ago he was the laughing stock of all the campers we made fun of this guy from the start to the end.

Les should have gone to Michigan, this will surely be his unraveling.

Well there is another victory for the Vols in 2011! Mark it I am calling it now! Vols upset LSU 28-17...

Also, other connections I have and friends of mine talk about how terrible of recruiter he is. When he was at Tulsa he mumbled through living room speeches constantly never impressed the parents he was trying to win over.

All you guys saying great hire I hope your being sarcastic and saying great hire from a Tennessee Vol fan standpoint.

No sarcasm here. I think he is a good hire for Les. I'll be around to discuss if I'm wrong.

FWIW, Bobby Petrino left a trainwreck in Louisville, but I will admit that I thought Krag would clean it up.

I like you man a lot, yes I certainly look forward to your thread you will start in 1-2 years saying Kragthorpe fired, is Miles next! My only response in said thread will be "I told you so!"

But I do love you man (in a non-homo way)!

They've only had 2 coaches that have done anything. (Corso and Petrino) It's Louisville for Petes sake.

FWIW...Keep your eyes on Charlie Strong...if he sticks around, the 'Ville will be doing things soon.

And oh yeah...Corso???...really???...How about a guy named Howard Schnellenberger ???!!!!

Not true: First off, Wilcox is only coach that we know for sure has been approached by another school from this staff. Also, Caldwell got offered DC job by Petrino and Ark, Dan Brooks was offered by NC State and Amato. Those are 2 well respected coaches and were pursued. Chavis could have landed several DC jobs in college, people knew he wouldn't leave. He was offered NFL jobs. Lovie Smith left for (I think OSU?), Garner and Ramsey by Goergia. Trooper, for some odd reason, was offered and took Ok St job.Mike Barry was great Oline coach who I think left for NFL but not positive. Plenty of Fulmer's coaches were approached during his tenure.
