So in other words, Will Friend will be the OC

Also Mike Griffith much like Butch Jones, is a beta male
At this rate, I'm not sure that this bunch could even get Friend promoted to OC before the start of next season....i've never seen anything like this.

If we dont get Chaney at this time, then we whiff and possible fall apart down the road.

Looks like CJP liked Yurchic and he went to OSU. Liked Freeze and he took a HC job.
I don’t think CJP has found another guy that he wants yet. He’s not going to just hire a coach to make you and me happy.

My 2 cents......Sark/Tee Co-OC or Osovet.

I’m not sure I’m buying the story that Chaney’s contract got extended without anyone knowing? Could a program like UGA be able to pull that off? Don’t smell right to me...

It was reported in December that three assistants got extensions to go along with their raises in February, but Chaney wasn't mentioned as one of those three assistants in this article. But it wouldn't be surprising if he DID get an extension just like they did. Just find it weird that UGA didn't report an extension for any of these guys until after the season was over.

ATHENS - Georgia offensive coordinator Jim Chaney has two years remaining on his contract with UGA. That is according to UGA spokesman Claude Felton. The confirmation comes in the midst of coaching rumors that Tennessee was or continues to be interested in Chaney returning to be offensive coordinator for the Vols.

"The movement we witnessed Friday might not be limited to players. Don’t be surprised if we see some coaches leave is all over as well. Tennessee, which has gone well over a month now without filling its offensive coordinator vacancy, is said to be eyeing Georgia’s Jim Chaney. Chaney’s three-year contract is due to expire at the end of the academic year. He had to share coordinating duties with James Coley this past season, as well as move from coaching quarterbacks to tight ends, and I am told still has property on a lake up in East Tennessee."

So it is easily understood and I don't get it....
End of Academic year?
Well we will see.....

Still thinking Sark, Enos, Chaney, or staff. Co OCs

He's not right. If he signed an extension it would easy to look up. Should be public knowledge since he's a state employee.

He was pretty good while he was here.
We had talent. A gun slinging qb and freaking CP, DaRick, and Hunter. He's not very innovative, nor does anything special. Ga fans want him gone. He's not the worse we could do, but he's not going to win us a NC

Do we really want this guy? Seems we don't think much of coaches until they go somewhere else and have success, or have ties to Bama
We’d love the hire early on, then quickly turn on and hate him within seconds of the first or second 3 and out of the season. The same exact guys that would say they loved the hire would turn on him and start calling talk shows to complain about his play calling. Believe all that.

If Chaney’s contract hasn’t or isn’t expiring then Knox media and the know it alls need to go back to selling programs and cheap T-shirt’s on game days. Next step in the news cycle is saying Tn has a shot because Chaney’s contract isn’t renewed through 2030...

Bro I don’t know if you’ve been watching the last year, but we are just trying to make bowl games at this point.
