I think they are valuable assets but I think we should get rid of them before they get rid of us. If we are starting over ,, I say lets start from scratch!

Nope. They both need to stay. Chaney is vastly undervalued and will keep continuity with what the offense was building on.

Thompson is an ace coach - both on DL and LB.

Also, they are both excellent recruiters and want to stay at UT. I don't see either leaving for a long time.

They stay. I don't think either liked Kiffin, both were ready to leave after last season. The offense should be better with Chaney calling the plays vs. Kiff.

Chaney is way under-rated and lance now has a real hatred for Kithead. I think they deserve a chance.

Im just sick of hearing about people not wanting to come here/ stay here. It would fill good to tell someone to get the hell out for a change. Again, I do think they are both very valuable assets.

I sort of get where you are coming from, but I wonder if you've considered that they may also be pissed at X.
Just because they got screwed by X too, that doesn't mean we need to put them out of a job. They are good coaches. We should utilize what they can offer this program.

I honestly think they want to stay or they would have left by now. Geez, just cuz you are sick of it (we are too) is not reason to create a thread to boot the two out who do want to stay.

Yea if you did that you would start from scratch because you would probably lose every recruit we have.

Any man who is a friend of Don Knotts is a friend of mine. I also agree with this. Chaney would not have ran the ball when down 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter when its 3 and like 20. Kithead did make some real bonehead calls last year. Chaney is a major upgrade.

Sarcasm....or are you actually being serious? Either way was there really a need to clog up this forum with such a bad post?

Lance needs to focus on recruiting. I like that Dooley isn't panicing, lets be patient on these coaching hires. This year we will be doing well to hang on to who we have and add a few more. Just let the man work his plan. How many Saban assistants can anyone name? 3 at most?

Then is it safe to say the reason Cheney was looking around was due to difference wit hthe former regime?
