I can't believe this guy keeps trying to throw ball every down when we are moving it on the ground. I believe it's pretty obivous now that Bray can't take over a game. We get second and short and he comes with 2 straight passes. When in some of these games we coud take momentum on the ground

Chaney has no business being an OC in the SEC. I still can't figure out why Kiffin hired him.

Chaney is a joke. This is some bamboo that ain't freakin growin. Only thing growin on Chaney is his waistline. Can't believe he can't learn from his continual mistakes. I don't do this for a living so maybe there is some "parallel dimension" reason to continue to attempt a pass for 10-15 yds. on 3rd and 2 but I haven't figured it out.

I'm so glad the SEC won't have us to kick around this year. Dooley is a dips%$t!!!

Ok, so I've calmed down and would like to retract the above statement about Dooley being a dips%$#t. He certainly is not. I know he's given his all for Tennessee. He has just come up miserably short. I do appreciate the improvements he has made in our roster and the stable foundation he has helped create. He's just not a strong enough coach for this league. Sorry for overreacting. :hi:

Chaney believes in 25 or 30 yards down the field or nothing. I don't think he cares one thing about making first downs. The defense is bad enough without leaving them out there all night. I don't care what anyone says, this offense he runs sucks!

You can't understand why Kiffin hired...I can't understand why Dooley hasn't FIRED him!! Absolutely stupid and pathetic play calling!

I think we finished up 2/14 on 3rd down conversions. That 3rd and 1 that we took a time-out to prep for was just beyond absurd.

The reason Kiffin hired Chaney is that all he needed was a warm body for the OC... Kiff pretty much called 100% of the plays. He just needed a "yes sir", "yes man" guy.. Now we don't have an offensive guru on the staff, and it's obvious Chaney is way in over his head..

He's horrible ! There is no rhythm to his offense and never has been . He calls the dumbest plays like a kid playin madden. This team is in disarray and the coaches are just in to deep. Gotta clean house before this gets worse . If it can get worse!

It was 2nd and 1 before that. That horrible series cost UT any chance at the game. I knew when we missed there the game was over. I've seen it too many times already.

YES. CDD needs to make a change there, this would give the Vols a fighting chance on O the rest of the way. Hell, DD could make the calls....worth a shot, vs doing nothing.

I tried to tell everyone that he cost us a chance to win the georgia game: we had closed to 7 points, I recall, had plenty of time in the 4th quarter--and were running the ball very well. Then on two consecutive possessions he has Bray start winging it again. Result: INT and then a scramble/fumble. Our passing game is not reliable any longer. And this guy too often has Bray trying to throw the ball down the field on 3rd and short--that is losing football. He screwed up our first TD opportunity tonight: we wasted a down running the ball from the bama 8 or 9. Why do it? What are you going to get there? At the very best, three/four yards. We got 1, maybe. Tries to run CP on second--he fumbles the ball. And then--surprise--he tries to throw the Hunter on 3rd, when of course bama knew we'd be throwing to Hunter. Throw the ball to Hunter on FIRST down, or the TE. Do something creative--put pressure on bama! Duh. Our offense choked in the Miss.State game--three possessions to tie in late 3rd/4th---two punts and a fumble. Bad.
