agree UTIE. We are a little too thin in the secondary to have him out there on O.

None. Can't risk Berry on offense or kicks.

I hope UF picks on him so he can "pick" on them..:)

Per someone inside the program: "Every snap Berry took in practice on offense was because of the UF game. That's the plan, to use him out of the shotgun against UF ever since he committed here."

That was what I was told in early August. Now with CB being so thin, I'm skeptical about it. However, if he's going to do it, it will be Saturday

I am not advocating Berry play offense but all this "no he might get hurt, don't do it" is chickensh&T. If you think putting a player somewhere will help you win, do it. It is football, people get hurt, but don't go around worrying about it.

I don't worry about him getting hurt at all. I just want him to be full speed vs their WR. Offense may not take a whole lot out of him but we also can't rely on a pass rush to help him out.

That is a legitimate concern. I was more commenting on the being scared someone might get injured aspect.

unless the play book in the 80's called for a freshmen cb to come in and take snaps at qb...i wouldn't look for it

Well, if we do I hope we don't put him in as predictable situations as we did Taylor and Crompton.

But I also feel that the chances are slim. Just doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

our secondary is already thin and every time UT has tried to these plays in the past, it's either obvious what's going to happen, or it's obvious UT isn't fully prepared for this style of play. So no, for risk of injury doing something that I don't feel UT can pull off successfully, I don't want him in the game on offense.

If they can prove me wrong and show me for once that they are prepared for such a style of play, then go for it.

i hope we just have him in the slot or something with G Jones at QB and run a little WR option...that'd be bad
