What are they?
I know Crompton has supposedly been doing everthing in his power to win the starting job for the fall, but if this kid's as good in D-1 as he was in JUCO whats gonna stop him from taking over?

Its my understanding hes already familiar with the system and his numbers are pretty impressive even though he was plating against JUCO defenses.

I really just want to see us have a good year and I think the only place we're gonna be soft is QB, which of course is the most important offensive postion.

If he plays better than Crompton in practice, he should get to play on Saturday. Crompton, though, has the advantage of knowing the system better than Lamaison.

This is just a guess, but here goes...

Crompton - 60%
Stephens - 35%
Lamaison - 5%

crompton & stephens both have been digesting the playbook since last december. unless lamaison picks it up quick and plays lights out, i bet we don't even see him until game 4 or 5. highly doubtful that he gets a start this season.

55% Crompton
35% Stephens
10% Lamaison

My guess! I don't think Lamaison starts bc I think Crompton and Stephens fit a lot better into Kiffins offence! And Lamaison needs to learn the offence!

Lamaison comes from a pro style offense...It won't take him long at all to learn it in practice.

To anyone who thinks he's going to come in and be solid for us

Do you remember Kevin Craft, the 3rd string QB from UCLA? Yeah, he was another JuCo AA from this college with even better numbers IIRC.

I hope he doesn't have to play. I think the point of signing Lamaison is for a solid #3, and to have someone else to keep thing interesting in 2010.
CLK says that Crompton and Stephens will both rotate in and out very early. I think that probably means that the job is Crompton's, but Stephens could win it if JC throws three INTs in that first game, and he is perfect.

If JC throw's any INT's in the FIRST game then Kiffin will look at NS pretty hard to start the UCLA game!

Crompton is the starter. There is a 0% chance of anyone else starting. I would say just my opinion but I'm pretty sure it's fact.
