Alot of if's and but's. UF would have put 50 + on Tennessee if it would've came close to being competitive a game, but instead they were allowed to slow down in the second half because they knew they were killing us. Not to mention how much better UF became offensively after the Ole Miss game. We'll need to be excessively better to even have a chance.
Should be exciting nonetheless.[/QUO
The scenario given by the other poster is reasonable. Tennessee doesn't shoot themselves in the foot offensively and the special teams units actually puts players on the field and Tennessee might be in the game. As for this year, same scenario different coaches. Tennessee doesn't give Florida any gimmes period. Tennessee's defense keeps Florida off balance and we pound the football down their throats by any means necessary and we have a "legimate" chance to win this game. I give Florida full respect for talent, coaching and gamemanship, but at the end of the day it still comes down to a bunch of young men playing football and anything can happen.
granted I'm merely 10 posts in, but this is the most reasonable argument i've heard yet. Ofcourse, given my natural bias (gator), home field advantage, upperclassmen leadership and game management, I still "see" a 2-3 score gator victory. a few big plays or murphys law application could swing that a few scores in either direction. but no matter what angle you look at it from, once the whistle blows it's 11 v 11...
