As if it's impossible to get some nail polish, apply it to someone else's toe. You want a toe? I can get you a toe, believe me. there are ways, Dude. You don't wanna know about it, believe me. I'll get you a toe by this afternoon...with nail polish. These F***ing amateurs. They send us a toe, we're supposed to Sh** ourselves with fear.

Forget the toe...I'm going to Jackie Treehorn's house. I hear they are filming log jammin 2 today.

Bama plays 8 straight games to open the season. we're #8 in that line, and we have a week off before the bama game.

it's still in Ttown, but, if you have to go down there, this is the scenario i'd definitely prefer.

our chances of winning this game are significantly better than our chances in gainesville, that said, bama will still be good up front, and if our D tackles haven't gotten it together, Bama is the kind of team that could give us problems with how they will likley run the ball.

i still think we lose, i just think bama is better right now. but i wouldn't all together be surprised if we pulled out this one.

BDS has never been a house of horrors for UT.....Ever...Much more confident in going in there and getting a win than in Gainesville.

I think that we have better chances of winning against Bama and Ga. Both lost alot of key players from last year.

BAMA's QB situation will be fine. The kid that is in charge of replacing JPW is much more cerebral and alot smarter with the ball. With that said, I say that a good OC can mask alot of weaknesses that a inexperienced QB may have with proper play calling. The OC can make alot of 3 step pass calls and rely on the run, mixed with play action. CNS likes his QB to be smart with the ball and manage the game much as JPW did this past season. The OL will look rugged this Spring going against the #1 D but it should be fine come Fall.

the qb is still a ? until proven otherwise. but would you not agree that Bama playing 8 straight with us being 8th in line, and a week off for us prior to the game, is not a big advantage for us?

now, i still think bama is a tad better than us up front, so i still have that pegged as a L on our schedule, but i like the way the schedule sets up for us for that game.

Bama fans think they are going to be great again this season. They seem to really think they will be playing in Atlanta again this year. They may be...but they need to realize Ole Miss and LSU are going to be tough. Won't surprise me to see Ole Miss vs Florida in Atlanta

IMO the schedule is a significant leveler for the Bama-Tenn game for reasons cited above.

I agree with uagrad's comments re our QB situation. I like what I see so far. RS Jr. Greg McElroy is looking very good in practice. Last year he appeared poised and confident on those few occasions when he was in the game. He seems able to move through his progressions better than JPW. Will not lock onto one receiver. Broke Chase Daniels' HS passing records in Texas, which suggets he has the potential to be very good. However, we all know HS performance doesn't necessarily translate to college performance. RS Fr. Star Jackson is also impressing the coaches.

Top to bottom, I expect Bama's O-line to be better in '09 than '08. We had serious depth problems in '08, as Tulane and Utah showed. Much more quality depth in '09.

The rational Bama fans (we really exist!!) know we caught lightning in a bottle last year. Of course we hope for an undefeated season in '09, but won't be surprised with 2 or 3 losses. We expect to battle OM & LSU for the SECW.

the qb has yet to start a full sec schedule. he may turn out fine. it's not like he's replacing Johnny Unitas or something, and Saban's system doesn't call for the guy to be peyton manning back there, so i'm not saying he's going to suck. just that he's not a proven commodity.

hell, we got a guy like that on our roster right now. you might have heard of him....5* kid from western NC. had great practices last spring. looked like a world beater in the spring game last year.

and he single handily caused us to lose the auburn game last year and got yanked in game 6.

just saying, he's not a proven commodity until.........

as for up front, i've already said i think Bama will be pretty good up front and that will likely give us problems esp if bama's running game is as good as it was last year.

but all that said, i still like the schedule set up for us.
