Drew Richmond, Jashon Robertson, and Coleman Thomas aren't getting it done. They need to be benched. Especially Drew who looks like a lost cause.

I would start Hall immediately if he's healthy. Jack Jones should have been starting all along. And I would try Venzell out at RG ahead of Jashon Robertson who has been dreadful going back to last year.

Hopefully this is the o-line Saturday against Ohio as we prep for Florida:

LT - Kendricks/Hall
LG - Boulware
C - Weisman
RG - Jones
RT - Hall/Kendrick

Hard heads on the staff disagree.

And why is Jumper playing... I mean why is he on the field?

He shouldnt be playing either.

If DK is out for a few games, we need to play JRM at MLB and Cortez at OLB. With Sapp backing them up. Also we need to get Bituli up to speed.

Drew Richmond will be fine, but he must go through his growing pains and keep in mind its up to the Off Coord & OL coach to sometimes cheat and give Richmond help on certain plays until he gets used to SEC play........ and I have been saying for a year and a half that J. Robertson on pass plays looks like he doesn't have a CLUE on how to pass protect but in the running game he is fine.........just watch when he pass protects, once the ball is snapped, he sets up like he's getting ready to wrestle w/ his arms and hands in for some reason................

Real controversial opinions here. Chance Hall is injured dummy! He starts when he returns. Don't disagree about JJ...another no-brainer. Bituli is a true freshman they just moved to DE...not the answer at MLB. Boulware could be a boost of competition for Robertson...no way anyone KNOWS that. More reactionary hot air from the usual suspect.

A little off topic, but Sheridan Jones is one of my new favorite players to watch for in the future. Question is...why is it that a 3rd or 4th string redshirt freshman QB has to be the one to jump the OL on their play? Where's the OL leader, or Dobbs, or coaches... Know he's not in rotation, and prob won't play this year...but come next year, when other's may arguably have more talent(TBD?), there's a big intangible of having an "emotional leader" at starting QB, and liked what I saw on the sidelines last night...

Sheridan Jones isn't even enrolled.

I think when Hall comes back we will see big improvement. The left side isn't getting it done right now. Dobbs should have been chewing people out, not our 3rd string QB but hats off to him for doing it. Somebody had to.

I'll give Dobbs credit for not throwing his line under the bus and having faith in them. (even if it might be misplaced) It would have been very easy during the interview with Ponder for him to have made some offhand comments about the lack of protection. However, being a good leader as he is, it appeared he exemplified the old saying "praise in public, preach in private."

It's one thing to go on national TV and put your teammates on blast and doing it inside a team meeting room. I'd say Dobbs did exactly what he should have last night.

I can agree with that. Either way they seemed to have responded nicely to it. I made that sound like I was questioning his leadership and I wasn't, I just think if it was me I'd have handled it a little differently, but I'm just another poster on Vol Nation lol

No, I wasn't saying you were questioning his leadership. It just provided a segue into something I was thinking about after the game last night when people were scoffing at what Dobbs said. He said the right thing for the right reasons at the right time and we'll have to let the O line problems sort themselves out in private.

I wouldn't blast my guys to the media or anything like that either, that's how they lose their respect for you. I smell what you're stepping in. I think once Chance Hall comes back we will see improvement. Right now, I understand we have depth but it's young depth in spots. When Hall and Jones came in last year during the UGA game you seen it right away. Jones played good ball last night and I think it'll go back to what we somewhat expected when Hall comes back.
