Too many posters are making comments about "Championship teams this...." and "Championship teams that..."

Honestly, I'll be happy if we win the East and put up a hell of a fight against Alabama in the SEC Championship.

Anything more than that, from this team, and I'll be damn impressed!

Calm down with those delusions of grandeur ya'll...

OP I respect your opinion that you would settle for continued mediocrity. Some of us other fans want more and expect more. We can all coexist.

Again...since you decided to make a thread about this after you just posted the same thing. You said people are throwing around championship, yet you just want the team to win the East and then compete for a "championship." You're throwing it around too buddy.

I think most people here would be ecstatic over an SEC championship. I know for my part.... just win the SEC then let the playoff take care of itself. Politics will come in to play at that point.... and judging from UT's drop in the polls compared to UGA, Clemson, and others.... I wouldn't expect a 1 loss much two loss UT team to make the playoff.

Control the things you can control.

Winning the east is something that hasn't been done in almost a decade. Not sure how that is mediocrity and may mean you are one win away from being in the playoffs. In that decade, we have not even been mediocre. If we do what the OP wrote, then it will be our best year in over a decade and we can then continue to build a championship team year in and out. How soon we forget. Set for a great year and some of you can't even enjoy it.

If we are undefeated on October 22 we can start thinking Championship, prior to that it is all premature.

Nothing is delusional, because we are undefeated and anything is still possible at this point.

If we had 2 losses and people were still talking championship...that would be delusional.

It may be improbable in your opinion, due to play you have witnessed so far.

But to call people delusional...is well delusional as all possibilities for championships are available.

It's delusional to believe we can't win the NC this year. It won't be easy and we will need to keep improving but to dismiss #120 is a mistake.

Plan A.
