You have to understand by now that everything is skeptical. Not one single person who has posted “someone I know said” has been right about anything. Not one, at all. I’m not saying you’re wrong, just saying these posts have an 0- nothing history.

Oh I agree Joe... as they should be... I’m not guaranteeing anything. Just passing along some info. 👍🏼

And... why? Have you grown so accustomed to Jones' pathetic O that the thought of a coach who puts up 40+ every year offends you?

40+ doesn't do much good if the other guys put up 40+ +1 before time runs out - gotta have defense.

Supposedly interviewing Gundy in Dallas.

Where is SMU????

Sounds like Plan D in the works. Hmmm...

Morris’ daughter attends A&M and that’s his first desire. And his location is irrelevant because it was done over the phone. Haslam and Currie are trying to hurry another hire to prevent the other boosters from having a say. That’s why we can’t let up on the emails and calls!

Not against it, but there is a power struggle among boosters right now, and people are cr@pping on an OC who avg 35 points a game at USC.

He coaches at SMU. They're not going to pay to hire a DC that can change that.

I would prefer Brohm if they could find his price point. I'd take Tee or Venables over Morris at this point. But Morris has the potential to be the next HUGE thing.

For what it’s worth. Morris walked in to a roster devoid of much talent. He converted a safety to WR that will be a 1st Rounder if not the 1st WR off the board in the draft. He’s infused the roster with talent on the offensive side of the ball but the defense is still below water from a talent perspective. His offense will score points in bunches. The defense he has is severely lacking in the 2nd and 3rd levels and what talent is there is very young.

He’d be a good hire from an Xs and Os standpoint. Does a good job of adjusting his offense to the talent he has. Think Clemson offense with a blend of Auburn. Fast paced but physical run game. He’d make Guarantano realize his potential.

Think the conversation is a non starter though. He’s waiting for A&M (alum) or somewhere (Arkansas maybe) he can fully utilize his Texas ties in recruiting.

Tee is the hire that would make the most sense though. Better recruiter in the SEC country. Knows the university and fits what Tennessee needs in a coach better.
