Dear Currie

If you even dare consider hiring another HC for UT, at minimum you must do the following:

1. Post on VN the name/s you are considering and we will have a poll
2. IF the candidate receives 75% or more of VNs support, you are free to interview/hire
3. IF the candidate receives less than 50% (as in Greg Shi!ano) of OUR support, drop back and punt immediately
4. Stop listenting to Hyams, Haslems, Hart or anyone with the last name that begins with "H" - as in HELL NO!!

You embarrassed our great university and it's amazing fanbase beyond what any human being could imagine. You are on THIN ice and we have boulders ready to throw near you if you do not bring home a qualified and respected coach and, please, for the love of God & Humanity, do not think that we, the people, will voice our opinion. Again.

Tennessee interviewed SMU coach Chad Morris Tuesday night in Dallas. Morris was a long time successful high school coach in Texas who was an assistant at Tulsa and Clemson before taking over at SMU. The Mustangs were 7-5 this season

I hope that this is a joke. 7-5 at SMU ?

Morris is exponentially more qualified than Dooley. That’s not even a fair comparison.

If we are going to take a risk, it might as well be with Chad Morris from SMU. After doing a little research, I actually like him.

He was a hot shot high school coach in Texas. Think of George Quarles on a much larger stage.

He was the OC at Clemson during the resurrection of the program under Dabo. They still use it today, and it seems to work out for them... minus the Clemson’ing once a year.

He took a gamble and became the head coach at SMU. You know the school that got the death penalty. Their record has gotten better each year. They are 7-5 this year. Dude is making chicken salad out of chicken crap.

He has recruiting ties in key states: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas, and Louisiana. Guess when we were the best? When we recruited from those states.

If we are going to take a chance, he seems quite logical if you look at the big picture not just his record at SMU. He is currently reported as Texas A&M’s number 2, and if Jimbo leaves FSU, he is a strong possibility there. I would hate for us to miss out on someone who has potential. I couldn’t promise his success, but I couldn’t promise Gruden’s success either.

If true then this is Curries guy. Never had intentions of actually hiring Gundy.

Which also explains why they made Gundy go to Dallas instead of Currie to him in Stillwater. Also explains the frustration in the photos of Gundy on the phone at the hotel in Dallas. I would bet any amount of money that there never was a face to face with Currie.

Currie is going after Morris just like he was with Schiano from the get go.

Disgusting what he’s doing.
Not only does Haslam like his AD's to knuckle under to him, he likes his coaches the same way. H holds the power coaches and staff 0 power. Fits the mold of Dooley, Jones. Jimbo, Miles, Kiffin, John HArbough, all expressed intrest early on in UT and ZERO contact from UT. All of these guys would want some level of control.

Did we offer Morris and get turned down or are one or both sides holding out for better options?
