I’m not arguing that there aren’t several teams with playoff worthy resumes. My worry is that if usc wins out, the conference championship might be the deciding factor.

I don't know anyone that thinks that, but it's interesting to hear the commentary and where other teams are, gives some insight into what committee is thinking about teams outside of top 5 and who could sneak up if weird things happen.

Reece Davis and Dick Vitale both just said during KY MSU basketball game that they thought Tennessee was better than TCU and should be in playoffs.

While I would love to be in the SEC CG, not playing could be an advantage if we make the final 4. The other 3 will be beating each other up in a CCG while we would rest, get healthy and prepare for the playoffs. Having said that we need to stay focused and blow the other team out in our final two games. Also, while TCU might win out, I like Kansas States chances in the CCG.
