CFP Red Raiders vs Ducks

I don't know what to tell you if you think we would lose to JMU and Tulane and the TTU team we saw today.

We are not that bad.
I thought the same until I watched that debacle the other day. Idc how many opt-outs we had. Joey and the offense couldn’t move the ball and once again they looked lazy as hell and discombobulated much like we saw the rest of the season. Zero excuse to lose to Illinois. Tennessee has more talent in their pinky finger than Illinois could ever imagine having. Pitiful performance, and it reflects the coaching.

Key opts outs on defense - 5 or 6, maybe more. Best WR opted out. Probably others. And an interim DC.

Funny enough, I don’t think the defense lost us that game. A strip sack for a score and missed field goal certainly did though. I just expected way more out of the offense than that performance.

The defense absolutely lost us that game. IU only punted once - IU had the ball 11 minutes of the fourth quarter.

Offense can't score if they don't have the ball.

The last time our offense touched the ball in the 4th quarter was at the 11:40 mark when we scored a TD. Our offense never had the ball after that.

yep no strip 6 and hit the field goal they win I think

That missed FG would have been the difference. The other was the offsides on 3rd down late where the entire defensive line jumped. CJH had used his timeouts as he should. They don't jump and hold IU, we get the ball back with time to move down the field. And we were moving the football at that point - but never got the ball back.

No - just saying that for your scenario to play out there would need to be much more than 16 seconds and the team that needed to come back would have had to be showing signs of being able to score quickly. That was not the case in this game.

TTU was NOT going to score in this game - that was a given. So no need to add to the score.

That decision for the last Oregon score was by default... Texas Tech is Adidas and Oregon is...
