I certainly didn’t get my feelings hurt one bit when lane or O left. I was glad. You on the other hand, it seems like you’ve got a crush on lane. Why don’t you worry about yourself and quit trying to tell others to grow up. You act like a bossy little brat

Not teams from the same conference but the automatic tie ins are killing the bowls. Look at Saturday. We had Penn St vs Memphis and Notre Dame vs Iowa State. Penn St vs Memphis wasn’t terrible but Penn St won by 2 scores and controlled the game pretty well. The other game was a blowout. The games likely would’ve been much better as Notre Dame vs Penn St and Memphis vs Iowa St. The Penn St vs Memphis game was ok but there’s no way a 10-2 and 15th ranked ND team should’ve been playing a 7-5 and unranked Iowa St.

I'm pulling for LSU and I think they will win but if Clemson wins, I can live with it. The greatest thing about this game is that neither of the other two playoff teams are in it.

There’s no way to stop it though. This also happens with every single 5* basketball recruit the men bring in and people are always disappointed because the kid doesn’t score 20+ a game. Bailey may be a Heisman finalist one day but odds are he isn’t and to expect him to walk in here on day one and take over is a little much given we will have a Senior returning starter who actually played fairly well over the last half of the season, at least compared to how he played the first half. He led us on a 5 game winning streak which is all that matters. So I agree the expectations on HB are and will be unrealistic but there’s no way to stop it.

Only reason I can give you for me? Its the difference pre targeting and post targeting. I love CFB. The way it was played when YOU played (if this indeed is the real Billy Ratliff). Right when I get to enjoying a game, bang! The T word. And even when it isn't being called, the play by play guy and the color commentator can't stop saying it for the rest of the stinking game.

Here is my level of college football love right now. Nowadays, I watch the Vols play. And then unless there is a player in one of the other games I know somehow or really hope the Packers draft, I watch something else. Get the results later, and catch the replays later if something big happened. As to matter of competition, more teams getting a shot, and love of the game? I am all for the best teams matching up. The every game targeting discussion and calls? I dread hearing it. Takes away from the true enjoyment of the game. Fix it by changing how you teach players to tackle. Then, you are really fixing the CTE issues. What we got now? Might as well let cows graze on the fields until an hour before the game. Would rather see em roll in the piles than this nonsense. Less crap.

He did a decent job at Tennessee but made terrible player recruiting decisions and would have caused future issues if stayed the same course as UT head coach. He is not a CEO, nor will he ever be. He is perfect for Ole Miss; they love trash talk, have mediocre expectations, dont mind recruiting criminals, and could care less about being on probation.

LSU is flat out good. Oklahoma had 4 players suspended for the game, It would have not mattered much but it does make a difference, Maybe a couple TDs , remember how much better we were with Bituli after those 1st 2 loses.
Ok was definetly lucky to be the 4th team.
It was basically 3 teams and a toss up between 5 teams for #4.

And yet teams better than Oklahoma sat at home on Saturday. That's why I'm in favor of playoff expansion.

I'm not a Kiffin tick but I do believe he develops players. At least gets them to perform above and beyond. I'll never forget how he got those twin OL-men to play beyond their weight and darn nigh whip a Bama team that became national champions. Too bad he fuked up by leaving the way he did. He did pretty good at FAU, His new job will tell if he has matured, is the coach some of us believe he is, BUT NEVER AGAIN IN ANY WORKING CAPACITY RETURN TO TENNESSEE-NEVER!!!!

Then do something about it, like winning more games so players don't leave the state. Loyalty aside, I too would go where I believe I have the best chance of being a millionaire. Because I know "thank you," handclaps, and such don't pay for a house, the electric bill, water bill, health insurance, births, and that other stuff life burdens us with. When UT once again shows it is the place for home talent to stay and a place to maximize their chances of living significantly above the poverty line, these players will state in-state. They owe themselves a lot more than they owe fans when they must make that fateful decision. So if UT wants them, win games and avoid like bad administrations and overly involved donors who care more about themselves than the university they claim to support.

Yeah, I would like to expand to 8. A lot are coming in this thread and saying this year validates the 4 team playoff. But not so fast every year stands on it's own. There will be years when the BCS would have worked and years were the mythical AP or UPI champ would have worked.
Why not go to 8 teams. Every 4 or 5 years or so there will be times when any of the 8 could win it. There will be years when 1 or 2 teams are just way more dominate. Happens in NFL all the time but they don't just crown them.
Any way, I would rather watch 8 teams play a total of 7 games through December and January than watch some of these junk Bowls nobody cares about. I cannot fathom why a true football fan that's hobby is watching college football would be anti expansion.
