I certainly didn’t get my feelings hurt one bit when lane or O left. I was glad. You on the other hand, it seems like you’ve got a crush on lane. Why don’t you worry about yourself and quit trying to tell others to grow up. You act like a bossy little bratAh yes, a troll because saying people who got their feelings hurt 10 years ago need to grow up.....
Nice one!
Not teams from the same conference but the automatic tie ins are killing the bowls. Look at Saturday. We had Penn St vs Memphis and Notre Dame vs Iowa State. Penn St vs Memphis wasn’t terrible but Penn St won by 2 scores and controlled the game pretty well. The other game was a blowout. The games likely would’ve been much better as Notre Dame vs Penn St and Memphis vs Iowa St. The Penn St vs Memphis game was ok but there’s no way a 10-2 and 15th ranked ND team should’ve been playing a 7-5 and unranked Iowa St.Not a bad idea... but would you want two teams from the same conference playing each other in a bowl? I do like the SEC vs Bog 10 and ACC matchups.
There’s no way to stop it though. This also happens with every single 5* basketball recruit the men bring in and people are always disappointed because the kid doesn’t score 20+ a game. Bailey may be a Heisman finalist one day but odds are he isn’t and to expect him to walk in here on day one and take over is a little much given we will have a Senior returning starter who actually played fairly well over the last half of the season, at least compared to how he played the first half. He led us on a 5 game winning streak which is all that matters. So I agree the expectations on HB are and will be unrealistic but there’s no way to stop it.There's nothing wrong with him becoming the guy. Hope it happens obviously. People are wondering if he's going to be "elite" before he has ever stepped on the field. It's just ridiculous.
That's nothing compared to the Dope Dens and Chargerville. Not to mention Von Bell's brother. This is kinda off topic but it does go to the Clemson-Ohio State game. Did anyone else pick up on the TV announcer say on national TV that Lebron James bought Beats headphones for the entire football team? Am I missing something here or isn't that an NCAA violation?
I just don’t get people who claim to be CFB fans arguing against more games b/t the best teams.
rest assured that even if UT signed all the kids that got away, the on-field team success would not be the same or close to Clemson over the past 8 years. Clemson has proven that their coaching system develops players, similar to Saban's system. With guys like Kiffin, Dooley, and Butch, all those players would have never reached their talent potential and those coaches are not good game managers either. Dabo and Saban have proven that they can win with players from any state and all of UT's previous coaches have proven they were never elite. Cudos to those kids for making a good decision and going to a school that can further their playing careers. there should be zero remorse about losing those kids to other teams because they would of wasted their talent under our coaches; and some of those kids could have saved Butch's job with Tennessee and that would be worse. Mike Hamilton created this mess and no parent should send their elite athletic child to a school that is dysfunctional from the top down.
PS. Dabo's success will be tested once he loses Vendables, similar to Fulmer losing Cutcliffe.
PSS. i am sure people will defend Kiffin as a good coach but his track record does not prove that. He is a great play caller but a terrible CEO. He did a decent job at Tennessee but made terrible player recruiting decisions and would have caused future issues if stayed the same course as UT head coach. He is not a CEO, nor will he ever be. He is perfect for Ole Miss; they love trash talk, have mediocre expectations, dont mind recruiting criminals, and could care less about being on probation.
- elite QBs win championships. Both LSU and Clemson’s QBs were lights out. Will HB be this kind of elite?
- would TN be the Clemson team we have seen over the past 5 years had we avoided the dysfunctional decade? How many names did you hear on Clemson’s roster tonight that would likely have been Vols had we picked the right coach the first time?
- was OK that bad or is LSU that good? Will we be able to score on that defense next year? Give them a fight next year?
- I would love to see LSU win it all but I still have a bad taste in my mouth about coach O telling our recruits to not attend class as he snuck off with Kiffin.
Just a few thoughts after watching the two games today? What say you?
And yet teams better than Oklahoma sat at home on Saturday. That's why I'm in favor of playoff expansion.LSU is flat out good. Oklahoma had 4 players suspended for the game, It would have not mattered much but it does make a difference, Maybe a couple TDs , remember how much better we were with Bituli after those 1st 2 loses.
Ok was definetly lucky to be the 4th team.
It was basically 3 teams and a toss up between 5 teams for #4.
I noticed the same thing, not just on Clemson, but every playoff team, Oklahoma, LSU, even OSU, there were several players from Tennessee, and I know that every state loses players but we can least afford it!
