CFN: Vols vs. Hogs Prediction

Just heard that Arky defensively is great against the run but is very susceptible, even very poor vs the pass............we're absolutely screwed.

The problem I foresee happening is that Tennessee will try to run tempo in an attempt to get into rhythm, go 3 and out, which seems to only take us about 30 seconds to execute, then give the ball back to Arkansas for them to run about 20 plays in a row. Our defense has no chance in that scenerio. Tennessee must score TDs to win this game.

i think the only way we run tempo offense against them is if we continue to get positive plays out of it that turn in to 1st downs. they may mix it up a bit, especially early, to keep them on their heels.

there is no way they want to get in a grinder of a game with their offense, and we're going 3 & out.

1st down will be big for our offense. the more success we have on 1st down, the better we'll be able to open things up. if we're continually in 2nd and 6 or 7 or longer, the more conservative we'll be. get to 2nd and 4 or less, and that's when you might see up tempo, or concerted effort to get the passing game going.

CBJ has to win this one, or he is staring down a 2-5 start.

On the other hand, a win for UT and a possible Georgia loss to Alabama would put UT right back in the east divisional race.

Hypothetically, IF we win out from here, besides Bama. What do we need to happen to end up in Atl? Fla. to beat Ga? Don't see it happening

Fla loose three times, everyone else loose once plus the loss head to head. FL - Once, ole miss, once lsu, one someone else and uga loose to bama maybe.

Arkansas shouldn't worry . . . we'll help 'em get on track. That's what we do: make the other team look like world champions when it matters most. It just kills me that I have to admit that there is absolutely no reason to think that our pattern is going to change or that the outcome this Saturday will be different.

I certainly hope that the players will themselves to a victory. Coaching isn't going to be in our favor in any game the rest of the way. Maybe not even the Vanderbilt game.

Analytics.

Well, I have wanted to be optimistic on this team, but I have always felt that this team has two major deficiencies. Number one is youth, and number two is depth. These two things are unfortunately keeping us out of the W column.

This team will grow up. As they grow up, more young players will provide the necessary depth. So, it is just a matter of time and game repetitions...We can blame a million things - and I am not saying some aren't issues - but we will win these games with just a little more depth and experience.

Will that come this year? I sure hope so, and I think so! It will be a very long off-season if not. Problem is, no one is gonna feel sorry for us, and it is not gonna get any easier in the upcoming games.

Stats for Arkansas thus far this season are skewed. Both ATM and Texas Tech throw a lot and run little.

To this point they are 1-3 and have played substantial more bad football than good.

UT should win the football game. They have they better roster. Where is their trust if we re up 10 on the second half?

Hopefully that trend gets broken. Right now its who they are.

The biggest concern for this game is that Florida will beat Tennessee twice.

Of course, the same can be said about Texas A&M beating Arkansas twice.

But, the hangover from the prior week is the biggest concern.

Could be true for both.

The heat has been turned up on both. I think the pressure is what will be an issue as well.

I feel the same way. Tennessee isn't as bad as their record indicates. If the Vols can figure out how to put together a complete game, look out. IF...

Tennessee has played better than the record shows, the coaching decisions in the 4th qtr have been the problem.

Arky has the worst pass defense in the sec right now if we can't pass on them I have no hope for the passing game until changes are made.

We barely passed against BG and WC. What makes you think we will magically be able to pass against Arky? I do hope I am wrong but I see the exact same game plan that was used against UF.

I agree. If they can get it rolling the whole game, they're gonna be tough. Heck both losses were a fight despite play calling.

I was absolutely positive that we would WIN at the swamp 27 to 17.

We got our 27 points that nobody thought we could get but we didn't stop the Gators like I thought we would.

We were 1 D stop away from getting that Win unfortunately, 1 damn play and it will hurt until next year.

I will make no more predictions this season but I sure hope we Win most of the remaining games.

#BrickbyBrick...VFL...GBO!!!

Arkansas has beat themselves all season with penalties. If they get that fixed, watch out.

Agreed.

I really do hate saying it, but we should be 4-0. Can you imagine how jacked this fanbase would be right now?
