Celtics vs Heat ECF

Problem is if lebron has to take over point duties and they don't have a perimeter threat, they are still screwed.

This is the problem when you have a mostly incomplete roster, as does miami if their role players aren't on point.

That said, imo the biggest reason for boston's lead is coaching, which is especially rare in a players league.

They definitely have better coaching. But, that dagger from pierce wasn't coaching and if the Heat had a pg in double digit assists, Docs better coaching wouldn't matter.

Agree completely. But with 3 max players, the roster around them will always be incomplete. They kind of asked for it..

Players gotta play, but every time both teams came out of the timeout, Celtics had their head on straight and knew what they were trying to do, and the Heat didn't. That comes down to coaching.

The Heat probably won't ever have the money to sign a more "complete" point guard, but that's another issue entirely.

I really do think that Rivers coaching circles around Spo is the biggest difference for the C's lead, players and lineups (eg Heat with inconsistent play from role players) is second to that.

Great stuff on LeBron. Sums up a lot of my thoughts: Watching the world turn upside down in the era of constant information - Grantland

By the way, none of us would be able to handle the pressure he's dealt with the last three years.

He has put the pressure on himself with the "Decision", "Yes We Did", and "Not 1, not 2 not 3... ect.". In Cleveland he was loved by everyone as either the homegrown son or as a lovable loser trying his damnedest to bring a title to his home state.

I'm not going to feel sorry for someone making that much money just because his fool-proof plan isn't quite working out how they had planned.

LeBron made two mistakes in 24 hours. He's never been convicted of a crime. He gives tons of money. Teammates have hardly ever complained about him. He's the anti-Kobe...and everyone hates him.

Agreed. And it makes no sense

Dear NBA:

We know you encourage officials to give calls to one team. Can we, please, for the love of all that is good, get the Heat all the calls in Game 6 and Game 7, so we can have LeBron/Kevin for 40 minutes a night, to determine the best basketball player in the world?

Please and thank you.

This is exactly why I don't want to see the Heat win a title. That team was constructed on the arrogance of LeBron, Wade and Bosh thinking they could win not just A championship, but MULTIPLE championships playing 3 on 5.

.

I never thought it was possible, but for some reason I kind of want to see the Celtics win.

Although I don't know which would suck more, OKC winning the title or KG getting to go out on top.

Gross.
not a chance in hell that the celtics could beat the thunder in the Finals

I don't think so either.

I have no horse in this race anymore, thats why I hope the heat will be able to bounce back and win the ECF, because I think they are the only ones to be able to give the Thunder a series. If its Boston, who I admit I hate more than just about any sports town, I just dont see an entertaining finals unless you just want to watch the Thunder dismantle them.

They were supposed to lose to the Heat in five...

The Heat have some very, very deep issues with both depth, position strength and coaching that OKC doesn't have. The average NBA fan and most of the suits on TV are just willing to overlook it from being star-crossed by Wade and Lebron being on the same team.

Its funny seeing Lebron in the last 5 minutes or so in a playoff game compared to Durant in the last 5 minutes of a playoff game.

If the Heat loses tonight, I want to see a Howard/LeBron swap.

For the Heat: You get the big man you need to protect the lane, you rebuild without rebuilding, and you give Wade the reigns as the #1 option on this team.

For the Magic: You get the most value you get out of the trade. You get LeBron for two years, minimum which is better than anything you will get for anything else. LeBron gets a fresh start after the Miami debacle (if they lose).

What say you VN?

Also, if the Magic can amnesty Turkoglu, and get another scorer, that team would fit LeBron perfectly.

I would feel pretty comfortable putting my months salary on them not being able to take the Thunder in the Finals

I think the Thunder have the Championship wrapped up; however, I think it is in the realm of possibilities that this Celtic's team could still have horseshoes up their ass.
