Celtics vs Heat ECF

yes. Because Lebron can't finish from the post and when they aren't running, they have trouble in the half court set due to lack of movement and double teams. If a pg is spreading the floor and drawing the D, lebron and wade can't be doubled as much.

Having that many chiefs on the floor is the reason you need a decent pg.

If the pg's in this game are switched, the Heat sweep.

I do agree with this. They need a decent pg so bad. If they had Rondo they would be scary.

Congrats but it takes an idiot to not see that Spo is a poor coach and that Doc Rivers is coaching cirlces around him. EVERY person on ESPN said it last night. Doc is owning Spo in set plays and plays out of timeout. I don't even think Spo has any set plays. And why was Bosh not in there the last 4 minutes? Spo excuse was that is wasn't fair?? What the crap is he talking about? Dude is lost and if I were the Heat he would not be back next year.

Congrats on not reading where I said Doc is a better coach. Doesn't matter. Same excuses will come up when they get a new one.
And I don't care about what ESPN says. I'd rather listen to the tnt guys talking about lebron and the heat not having the will to win. When you are accused of not having the will, its on you, not the coach.
And also, big deal about the timeouts. You don't think the heat knew the pick and roll wasn't coming? Everybody knew.

Westbrook, parker, rondo, chalmers.

The Heat wins every series with ease with a good pg that can keep the stars moving and finding space.

And again, did Doc call a great play for Pierce's dagger 3? Or did a confident player make a play? Just as Harden did the night before.

James one of the all time great chokers. I PUT JAMES AT THE TOP OF THAT LIST.

Pat Reilly wrote an article about this the other day with some pretty interesting stats...in the playoffs Lebron has taken 13 final shots in regulation and has it 5 of them. Kobe has taken twice as many and has only it 7. Lebron is the only player in the leauge who will go for 30+ points 12+ rebounds and get hammered for it. The guy will guard every position on the floor. The media and fans have put so high standards on Lebron that he will NEVER meet their expextations. The media would be all over other players about how awesome they are playing with his averages in the playoffs. People need to start putting some blame on Wade. He had 0 points in the 2nd quater last night. Wade either disappears or does not show up till its too late.

Big issue with miami: you think they have the cap room for a quality point guard?

I don't know. They just appear to have sg's at pg. Not one guard can break down the D when its necessary or needed to get lebron or wade going. Its a big reason why the Heat settle for jump shots and there is usually a hand in their face, unless they are running.

It's a pg league, and they don't have one.

I'm not a James fan by any means and I love to poke fun at his (currently) having no rings, but this is totally unfair and not even close to the truth.

Were you one of the people that defended Manning when he was in the same boat?

jordan didn't need much "motivating" from his coach.

All I get is excuses that 2 of the top 50 players of all time need motivation and guidance on the court and everybody blames the coach.

Give me a break.

Jordan had the best coach of all time for all his championships and Pippen, he also didnt have a very good PG, Jordan handled the ball most of the time

Exactly. He didn't need a pg. He took over. Lebron and the heat do need a
Pg.
Just wait and see what Riley does. His offseason move will be a pg. Guaranteed.

Kobe is sitting on his couch with 5 and Lebron is getting beat trying to get his 1st.(not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5)

Ok? It wasnt me who compared him to Kobe or Jordan? I said hes not as good as Jordan. I also have no problem saying he doesnt have the killer instict like Kobe.

This is what the mainstream media doesn't understand about stats, and this is probably why they tend to dismiss statistics. Colin Cowherd was saying that Lebron was much more dominants, statistically, than KG, but KG had the much better game. Then he said "stats lie". The stats he cited were:

KG - 26 points, 11 boards, 2 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks
Lebron - 30 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 block

Those stats lie. It's incomplete. He's forgetting 2 major stats that matter, and go in KG's favor. KG shot a TS% of .574, with only 1 turnover, and Lebron shot below league average at .526, with 3 turnovers. Not to mention KG's per minute productivity is much higher.

Statistically speaking, KG had the better game.

I have no problem calling a clueless person clueless.

one of us coached and continues to consult.

One of us didn't or doesn't.

Typical of today's kids. Know it alls with no experience telling others they are clueless.

Little league doesn't count there Hubie.

How is a PG supposed to space the floor?

They are an isolation/pick and roll/ open floor team on offense.

The floor is as spaced as your gonna see it, the Heat players can't hit consistently from three which allows other teams to collapse on Wade/James when they drive.

While it would be nice to see Wade/James move without the ball more ( James has done a good job doing this off late ) they really thrive with it in their hands.

They need a Tyson Chandler more than they need a Rajon Rondo.

Coached over 25 D1 prospects and 6 future NBA players at one point or another in my career.
Keep up the snide remarks and expose yourself more. You are a butthurt heat fan. Nothing else.
We'll see if coach Riley brings in a pg or a center that will get in the way of the lane to the basket.

lol at thinking lebron needs a PG. I forgot him and wade, two of the best shot creators of all-time, were spot-up shooters.

Don't get mad at me because Lebron and sis Dwade can not finish a game.

Where in my post did I say anything about anybody needing to be motivated? I've made no excuses because there is none for them to be losing to Boston. But people like YOU that bring MJ into every conversation about Lebron are ridiculous, they don't even play the same position. As far as Kobe, his arse is sitting at the house right now and Lebron is still playing. Everybody should blame Spolstra, he's a fool and he shows it. Did you even watch the last 5 minutes of the game last night? Apparently not. He had no answer for Boston switching Defenses on them, it literally looked like he said just go out there and make something happen. When you bring an argument to the table that holds water other than just spewing BS about Michael being better and Kobe not letting his team get beat get back to me. And for the record, Yeah Jordan is the best that ever played the game but to compare Lebron and his game is ridiculous.

Not that they need a big time PG, but if Mario Chalmers could somehow get close to a 2:1 assist/turnover ratio, they'd be in a lot better shape. He's a horrible ball-handler. All they need him to do is shoot well from 3, defend, and get at least a 2:1 ratio. Even if that just means 4 apg.

What does it matter if they play different positions? It is not like we are comparing center and pg. We are comparing sg and sf.

I thought the reason Lebron went to miami was so he would not have to do it himself? I wonder what the next excuse will be if he does not win one, or two, or three, or four, or five, or six?

You can compare Lebron, and MJ, but they are different players, and I think Lebron should just play PG. He's more like Magic than he is like MJ.

Yes Lebron was doing it alone in Cleveland (to a large extent). He's not alone anymore, but even still, they don't have a complete squad. The bench is thin, and they are extremely short on depth underneath.

The biggest criticism I can think of with regard to Lebron is that he didn't make the smart move in going to Miami. Chicago was the perfect spot, and they'd be amazing....I'm talking shooting for 70 wins, and winning titles fairly easily.
