Celtics vs Heat ECF

Only Boston team I can't stand is the Patriots. But I gotta admit that Beantown is the place to be when it comes to professional sports.

Yes...but I don't understand the hate, he tried to get Bosh to go to Cleveland but he didnt wanna go. Lebron gave them 7 great years and they gave him Mo Williams and Antawn Jameson, he wanted to leave, who could blame him? Who cares if he announced it on live TV. I like him more now than I did then, he's the reason I pull for the Heat now.

So you admit you're a bandwagon fan?

We're not all bad, I'm only a fan of the Red Sox though, don't care for any other Boston team.

Only fans I dislike are other SEC fans.

So you're not a Boston sports fan. You've been a Sox fan since, 2004, I'm guessing.

BoSox had a huge national following when they were lovable losers.

I love how some people act like the king of fandom, as if there are rules to this sh$t. I can cheer for whoever I want on any given night. The notion that if you became a fan during the good times makes you any less a fan is completely moronic.

If I were a Red Sox front runner I would have jumped the bandwagon last year as this team is a sinking ship.

Not saying you're a front runner, but I get a large measure of personal satisfaction knowing that people who hop on the bandwagon won't ever get the same level of joy you got for instance, when Tennessee won the national championship, or that I got when Oregon State beat Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl (even though the coach was a bastage).

Being around for the hard times makes it much sweeter when the team does win.

Are you from the Pacific Northwest? If so, how did you become a Vol fan.

No one intelligent blames his reasoning, they hate how he did it. If you are going to let Cleveland fans (a fan base that pretty much had nothing to cling to outside of Lebron James in any of the major sports) down then try not to make a big spectacle of it on national TV and then the next day throw a parade like you already have won a championship. He admitted himself it was a bad bad mistake on his part.

On a side note, I guarantee you he loved playing in front of Cleveland fans more than he does Miami fans. Miami Heat fans may be the worst fan base in professional sports. Get off your butts and cheer, and what is with the empty seats.

Amen to this. I like the Heat team, but you'd have trouble finding a city less deserving of a great team.

Even if you think him leaving Cleveland was sh!tty ( it wasn't ) and you think the hour long spectacle was tasteless ( it was ) and the champagne popping celebration was premature ( it was ), is that enough to really dislike a guy to the point if hoping he fails at everything he does?

I've never heard anything about James that would make me think he is a bad person, by all accounts he seems like a good guy, full of himself but then again who wouldn't be considering the level of fame he had at such an early age?

I dont disagree with any of that, but that shouldnt garner all the hate he gets. And he didn't wanna leave Cleveland but he knew to win he had to, and in the world of sports where if you never win a championship you're considered a bum (thats ridiculous), he had to go somewhere where he could win it

Agree, Miami is not a good sports town, the Heat crowd is never full at tipoff im not sure if fans come late or if fans from other seats migrate down after rhey see nobody is coming. And the Marlins won 2 world series in the last 10 years or so and have great talent and a new stadium and nobody goes to watch them either.

No absolutely not. I can see why people would root against him, but some of the hate that was/is spewed towards him is ridiculous. I've always been a fan of his and always will, but he probably should've handled decision better but the fallout after it was ridiculous.

Series was pretty much over before it started.

Looks like Spurs vs Heat, which has the makings of an amazing series.

Celtics are dinged up but they can still make it a series. All it takes is one bad game from Lebron and Wade.
