CBS Sportsline picks Vols over SC...

Yeah, and there were actually some analysts that picked us over Florida and Georgia, too. See how that turned out ...

I love the Vols and I'll be with them the whole way, but they've just got to show us something this weekend. We need a win bad. No "hey, we played them close" type of performance ... an actual "W". With a true freshman QB who is NOT named Bray or Manning, I think it's a long shot.

GO VOLS! I hope we find a way to do something besides getting blown out in the 2nd half or giving the game away in the final critical moments.

No it will not be a signature win, if ut wins at Arkansas that would come close but in my opinion Dooley needs to beat either Florida, Alabama or Georgia next year that would qualify as a signature win im still on the fence in thinking that Georgia would be. But no beating USC is not even close to a signature win

Its not the 1990s anymore. Take a step into reality. The state of our program right now. The state of their program right now. It would be a big win. We are headed in the right direction and should soon pass them back up and take our rightful place ahead of them in the pecking order.

It's sad that a Tennesseee win against USce is considered a "big" win

Why so? Sc is tied for the division lead in the East. A win probably ensures a bowl game and will help recruiting. I think it would be a big win. After all SC is favored to win the game. We have to take this enormous rebuilding effort one step at a time. This would be a nice step.

If UT finishes in the top 15 on rivals 99gator leaves VN. If UT finishes outside the top 15 I leave VN. The bet was made back in early July when everyone was freaking out about recruiting. Top 10 lock.

He'll just come back under a different name.

I like our chances against the chickens and yes, it would be a signature win. USCe won the East last season and are winning it again this season with a Top 15 ranking. A win in this game is a major step in the right direction, and would be done without our top 3 players from preseason with 3 head coaches in 4 years. They would be doing it without their top 2 players preseason with a strong program under one proven head coach for the same period.

beating a #15 team is signature WIN..its not 1997 and we aren't top 5...lets face it..both AR and SC are signature wins at this point..and will help greatly in rebuilding...

CBS experts lean us, VQ says South Carolina. Should be interesting. Hopefully we can play in the second half.

I'm willing to call it a big win. I don't even care about the score, as long as that W goes in our column.

Q: How can any team rated #13/14 be an underdog to any team that is not ranked? Rankings are a joke to me in this instance.

No pressure on Worley at all...I couldn't imagine being in his shoes tomorrow...

Goobs! Goobs!

CBS is full of GOOOOBS! GOOOOOOBS!!!!!!!

I'm all for calling any game in which Tennessee has more points than their opposition at the end of regulation as a "big win" this year.

USC is not Bama and their not LSU which means they can lose to pretty much anyone else. Their QB is not loaded up with experience and the running game is now a bigger question than UTs. Playing at night on the road Im not sure its the no brainer you think it is.

I think that 99Gator hit the nail on the head. :bash:
