For what it;s worth, both analyst for CBSSportline.com pick the Vols:

Bruce Feldman:
Tennessee 23, South Carolina 20: True freshman QB Justin Worley gets his first start against a D that is No. 1 in the league in forced turnovers, but my hunch is that this could be the spot where Derek Dooley finally gets his first big win at UT. Worley, a South Carolina kid that Steve Spurrier didn't pursue, has impressed the Vols staff and gets a shot over Matt Simms. Take away a blowout victory over a miserable Kentucky team, and the Gamecocks are only averaging 18 ppg over their previous four games. Without Marcus Lattimore, South Carolina really struggled on offense at MSU. I think they struggle even more in Knoxville.

Brett McMurphy:
South Carolina at Tennessee: If you see a kid wearing a miniature Derek Dooley Halloween costume, it's probably not Tennessee coach Derek Dooley. If you see someone wearing a Grim Reaper costume, that's actually South Carolina's SEC East title chances. Tennessee +4

Additionally, 5 of the 7 CBS pickers for Week 9 have the Vols winning....

:good!:

Oh no, does this mean when we win, it will not be the "signature" win?

No it will not be a signature win, if ut wins at Arkansas that would come close but in my opinion Dooley needs to beat either Florida, Alabama or Georgia next year that would qualify as a signature win im still on the fence in thinking that Georgia would be. But no beating USC is not even close to a signature win

Indeed... Sc is still a Spurier coached team and still has a massive D-line, while we are starting a freshman QB in his first game......doesn't look like upset to me

As long as we come out fireing on all cylinders in the 2nd half we can score alot more than there avg.

Pressure keeps dialing up for Worley. Even against a down USC playing a true freshman is always risky. At least it's at home.

Forget about a blackout, home crowd needs to get loud and rowdy saturday night. That will help more than having a black shirt on. USC's offense is a mess anyway, make it so they can't hear themselves think.

freshman qb making his first start without a running game to help him against a good d-line......

or

a team that is better on both lines of scrimmage and has had two weeks to prepare.

hmmmm

Yeah odd spot to pick a upset. Running game has went over a 100 the last two weeks against much better defenses. It's not great but it's gotten better.

USC is not Bama and their not LSU which means they can lose to pretty much anyone else. Their QB is not loaded up with experience and the running game is now a bigger question than UTs. Playing at night on the road Im not sure its the no brainer you think it is.

He's just here to kick sand. Everytime something might be a little positive he tries to dose it. He's a troll nothing more.

oh, so, you want to get mad at me because i don't have blinders on.

tennessee hasn't beaten a ranked football team in god knows how long and tennessee is starting a qb who has never thrown a pass in a college football game. but, i'm sure having a defense that gives up big plays and doesn't force turnovers will be able to help the offense.

my bad. tennessee by 3 td's.
