"With Mike Glennon looking to continue his strong finish in 2011, don't discount the Wolfpack and what they can do on both sides of the ball with months to prepare.

Pick: N.C. State"

This is the second time I have seen someone say NC State should be ready because they have had months to prepare. Do they not realize Tennessee has also had months to prepare?

The months in NC are longer than the months in Tennessee.

I was thinking about doing a drinking game around the mention of Da'Rick's name, but I'm afraid we'd pass out before halftime.

Seems as though everyone is assuming that our run game has not improved at all.

Everyone wants to see how JH responds the first time he gets the wood laid to him. Conventional wisdom is that it takes 2 years to fully recover from ACL surgery. People want to see him play before they go against conventional wisdom.

this.

physical, and mental, issues to overcome.

Probably more of a question of how much, and is that enough. Without a game or 2 to give you something to gauge by its hard to tell right now.

Man this disrespect of my vols is driving me mad. I know we haven't done anything to earn respect the past few years, but WE ARE TN!

This just in from CBS: NC State to BCS...Glennon all world. In other news, a massive sinkhole in Knoxville, TN swallowed the University of Tennessee. The final building went out of sight with a loud noise that sounded like a f@rt. It is rumored that this university at some point fielded a decent football team. However, we have been unable to verify that with our sources at CBS. War Eagle, RTR, Go Gators, Go Pack. CBS news

....in before, troll, negavol, etc.

This is sarcasm. I believe that the Vols will represent and I am proud of them no matter what and proud to be a vol fan. Not a fair weather fan here.

Truely nobody understands, outside of Vol fans how improved our RB's are and how much better our run game will be. Not to mention we have improved at every coaching position.

CBS threw a dart and is waiting to draw the bullseye. Aint gonna happen. Amerson may be a good DB. NCSU may be a good middle of the road ACC team. I'm sure they have "prepared" for months. The one intangible CBS and other 'experts" are neglecting is this team's insatiable need to wash the kentucky stink off. Just a hunch,,these Vols are ready to lay some hurt and play some smashmouth.

And everything we are doing on d will be new. so they will be preparing for the unknown. I like our chances if you compare us based on preparation. Simply because we know what they will try to do

I just don't understand the rest of the country overlooking Hunter so much. I understand he is coming off a ACL tear but come on, if he is 100% back then I just can't see anyone being able to shut him down completely. Especially a team from the ACC. Amerson may be good but not good enough to shut down a healthy Hunter for 4 quarters, hell he'll be lucky if he can shut him down for a series.

Tennessee vs. N.C. State

With Da'Rick Rodgers gone and corner David Amerson taking on Justin Hunter, Juco transfer Cordarrelle Patterson becomes an important piece to the Vols offense. If he has success in getting down the field, Tyler Bray should be able to find him. If the passing game falters however, it could be a long night for Derek Dooley. With Mike Glennon looking to continue his strong finish in 2011, don't discount the Wolfpack and what they can do on both sides of the ball with months to prepare.

Pick: N.C. State

And we're surprised by this?
