CBS: Picks NC State

CJ Wilson is out. They've been preparing all summer with him apparently. Regardless, it's a loss anytime you replace a three year starter.

If this game were in October, I'd say you're right. But being the first game coming off surgery, Hunter might get off to a slow start vs. Amerson.

EB said he couldn't contain him at practice. Granted that was one on one, but I like JH's chances against Amerson. If they don't give him one on one, the running game should explode.

It was my understanging that he wasn't impressive in offseason workouts and had fallen to 3 on the depth chart anyway.

I hope Hunter makes Amerson look silly a few times.

I do not think their DC is stupid enough to leave any of his DB's man to man with Hunter. Amerson is a very good DB. That doesn't seem to be their style anyway though.

As long as our last game was the "we don't give a crap" UK game, the media is going to bet against us. Things started to change after the Cincy game last year, then Hunter went down and we just self-destructed all season long. So, yeah, we've got a lot to prove and most talking heads don't even bother to follow UT, other than to say "seat hot," "Da'Rick gone," "Bray immature," blah blah blah. We'll either prove them wrong or right in Three. More. Days.

As often as he's been in the news, you'd think they could spell Rogers correctly. I mean, it's even the common spelling.

"With Mike Glennon looking to continue his strong finish in 2011, don't discount the Wolfpack and what they can do on both sides of the ball with months to prepare.

Pick: N.C. State"

This is the second time I have seen someone say NC State should be ready because they have had months to prepare. Do they not realize Tennessee has also had months to prepare?

They must think we've been sitting around tossing beer bottles at dumpsters all summer, while other teams work hard to beat us.

Who cares > CBS is NOT showing the game anyway!! It's all speculation at this point of what both teams will do for the first game. You can't base anything off of last years wins or lost record...things change from year to year. But it is time to whup they azz though, GBO and knock some teeth lose.

Just guessing but it might have something to do with Tom O'Briens bowl record. His teams seems to be very hard to beat when having a good amount of time to prepare. He's like 8-2 in bowls. Obviously thats against a calibre team similar to his, who knows how good tenn/ncsu will be this season.

I wouldn't put alot of stock in that. Pretty sure EB didn't go into NFL game mode while he was jackin around with Hunter.
