Tennessee vs. N.C. State

With Da'Rick Rodgers gone and corner David Amerson taking on Justin Hunter, Juco transfer Cordarrelle Patterson becomes an important piece to the Vols offense. If he has success in getting down the field, Tyler Bray should be able to find him. If the passing game falters however, it could be a long night for Derek Dooley. With Mike Glennon looking to continue his strong finish in 2011, don't discount the Wolfpack and what they can do on both sides of the ball with months to prepare.

CBS hates Tennessee.
Especially Gary Parrish because Bruce Pearl was always beating up on Gary's boyfriend, John Calipari.

the whoever hates us BS is overused, old, and damn stupid. but i've thought that for quite a while now. anywho, cant wait for atl in a couple days.

no mention of the running game or TE against their inexperienced LB's. I'm not surprised but come on, you do this for a living

This is a pretty lame "analysis"

The same things could be said about NC State, except they don't have WRs like Hunter and Patterson.

CBS seems to be giving Anderson way to much credit as compared to Hunter. Is he assuming that Hunter will be completely shut down?

As we discussed yesterday with other predictions that didn't go the Vols way. Not like there has been a solid history of the last decade for this kind of thing.

They said the same thing last year with Cincy....big whoop.

Looking for more viewers/hits...and of course we on Volnation like to accomodate every journalistic hack job with lots more attention than they deserve.

Everyone wants to see how JH responds the first time he gets the wood laid to him. Conventional wisdom is that it takes 2 years to fully recover from ACL surgery. People want to see him play before they go against conventional wisdom.

If Tennessee's oline plays well and and they rush for over 150, and if the D holds NC State to less than 17 points the same people will be writing articles where did this juggernaut powerhouse Tennessee come from.

They'll probably just write that NC State sucks more than they initially thought.

And if Tennessee score more points that State...that wouldn't hurt either.
