Even the two announcers on the broadcast are talking about the ineptitude of UT........basically saying the perfromance is inexcusable. Quite frankly, the play is embarrassing and pathetic. When interviewed at the end of the first half, Fulmer says Crompton is playing decent, which is complete denial. Fulmer can't even see that is QB is horrible and cannot make and decent decisions. Wow, this is amazing!!

Earlier today,Herbstreit and Corso said Vol football doesn't look anything like it did in the 90's. They are exactly right.

Fulmer knows Crompton is playing terrible, he just refuses to throw him under the bus.

Let's face facts here. Crompton needs to stay in the game. Fulmer will lose his job if he continues to play Crompton and ultimately that's what everyone wants anyway.

They have already played the fumble in the endzone 25 times......how embarrassing can it get......:cray:

did anybody here them on the 1st field goal drive??? crompton threw it out of bounds with nobody around and he said "he had a man wide open.. i dont understand the reads unless the read is to not throw a td pass across the middle

Vern is the worst! When Crompton threw one out of bounds near the end zone, Ole Vern said "he was distracted by the cheerleaders".

I hate CBS Sports.

Lundquist and Danielson are definitely anti-Fulmerites. A snide comment virtually every unsuccessful Vol play.

I am beginning to think much less of CBS's team. There is a difference between analysis and criticism, and it doesn't seem that Gary Danielson knows that. His job isn't to point out how bad Crompton is, or how Tubberville should have called another play, or to root for one AU quarterback over another; it is to provide insight to what is happening on the field. It is pretty bad when the analyst fills his time by berating the play of amateur athletes.

I could, however, live with that, if he didn't seem to be corrupting poor old Vern, who I have always thought might be Santa's beardless younger brother, but now tosses his criticism into the fray.

Shame, Gary, shame...
