I have seen and continue to see comments that CBJ wants to micromanage his assistants. I do not think there are many posting on this site who have inside knowledge or personal relationships with any of the coaching staff. If anyone on here actually can state from experience that is correct, please share your experiences.
I do not agree with some of the coaching / personnel choices but I cannot determine that Jones is making all the calls. On the other hand it is his job / reputation on the line so he should be concerned with what is going on.

They don't have a clue. But they have theories or conspiracies and they feed off one another and repeat it so much they make it true in their tiny brains.
Just like their idiotic assumption/theory/conspiracy that Shoop was held back by Jones. They have no reasoning skills and work purely off of emotion.

They don't have a clue.....on either side of the spectrum, yet opinions are shared both ways. Weird how in sharing opinions that either side has actual knowledge, some side are stupid idiots with tiny brains and their other side are brilliant true vol fans.

Or maybe one side is calling the other side out for making up a bs narrative without any evidence to support it and passing it off as the truth.

I have no idea about his personality. I've never met him. I've only seen what most the rest of you have and that's the manufactured ready for mass consumption Butch Jones.

I have no problem with the 'F#@% ALL OF THEM' mentality. Nothing better than to shove it back in the faces of the vocal minority that spends every waking minute of the day trying to sabotage your efforts in a position they couldn't competently perform themselves.

That's how I feel about Butch. I don't think you can get an accurate read on him from media sessions or sideline demeanor.

Or maybe one side continually brings up a narrative and calls the other side out for continually bringing up said narrative?

Great thought! I thought the same thing while reading the posts on the thread Swain wants Butch to emulate Dabo. Posters just through mud and once it is out there they act like it is fact even though they have no inside info to support it.

I will volunteer to take Butch fly fishing and give you a full report on his personality. He can give you a report on mine as well. Will Butch fuss about my choice of locale? My line weight or technique? Tell me we should be stalking more and wading less? Foul my line and spook my fish? Tell every fish in the Little River to go %1&@ themselves? We will learn that and more as soon as he accepts my invitation VN!

Due note my utter lack of psychoanalysis skills though. I'm gonna armchair it for you all.

Exactly, and due to the current way are society communicates we are unable to see opposing views as reasonable. Communicating over the net offers no context of perception of the person opinions. Therefore it's much eaiser to discount opposing views and validate ours by viewing the other view as the extreme opposite of ours and calling them stupid, unreasonable not true fan etc.
Not unique to football, it happens everywhere and on every subject. Reminds me of the George W. Bush qoute from the funeral of the Dallas Police officers.

I agree on the communication part completely. Resorting to name calling and putdowns is ridiculous. No one wants to listen or try to understand what someone is trying to say,gotta think of a quick and snappy comeback.

How is this manipulative and controlling? All I see is a guy who is tired of the complaining by a few fans over kicking a field goal being up 35-0.
