lol. It's funny how others misquote a word to be whatever they want it to be. smh

Here's some context and the actual quote:

So, the previous paragraph ends, talking about what position he is being recruited to play. The next paragraph says that they will play him where he wants to play.

It is not a promise when he will start.

This shouldn't be that hard everyone...

I read it the same way.

If he wants to start off trying out the Slot Receiver spot. They will let him start out there. If he wants to start out in the DB spot. They will let him start out there.

After reading this thread, I wish I could go back and see what was written in Kamara's thread last year when it was UA who employed this tactic.

I hate to be THAT guy but Bama did this for Kamara (a high level "4-star" who was sought after nationally)...just a little surprised we broke out this tactic on a young man who is less sought after....of course maybe Butch and company see something in this kid that others don't see yet.

Has offers from Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and about 15 others.

Love the comments on the article. Bama does it and its genius. We do it and its desperation

Thanks for the heads up...I guess I missed Florida and USCe when looking at his offer list...although I'm still a little surprised by this tactic on this young man...we need to be sending about 1002 letters to some DTs and OL

Alittle over the top...but I gotta agree.

And this place is just as hypocritical about the situation, just on the opposite ends of the spectrum from the comments on the article.

#1 bama's weren't all handwritten, so it shows a little more

#2 we need to get our name out there every few days, not in the douche, kiffin way, but in a sincere, family type way. We are constantly tweeting, using social media, etc. taking pictures with prospects grandmothers at practice. He's marketing our program in the right way, including former players etc. He's giving writers something to do in the normally quiet period. Making a splash keeps our name in the headlines, and thus on the minds of recruits. Smart leadership IMO

One of my favorite parts of the comments is that an Ohio State Buckeye comments saying the 102 letters on cheating. They never learned how to read the rulebook...

It's only cheating if the letters are exchanged for drugs and tattoos.

Honest mistake, iyam...

My apologies. I could of swore that when I read the article that it said "whenever" and not wherever. Either I made a mistake or the author did and changed it. But I`m apparently not the only that read it that way.

Plenty of trees on rocky top. Send em 102 per recruit. Hell, if someone woulda told me 20 years ago that this works and that in 20 years we're gonna recruit Jalen Hurd, I'd have planted 3 trees in my own backyard. Gotta be commited boys (and Vollygirl)😊

Looks like the author of the article has been reading this thread. We should thank him for clarifying, lol.

UGA typically does not offer the local guys until much later. This guy is 30 minutes away from Sanford so they have this 'homer' mentality with those close to home.

This kid is good. He's here in my neck of the woods and is pretty well loved and respected. Now that I know he's on Butch's radar I will be watching him more closely. Non-stalkerish of course.
