"I'm never going to apologize for winning." Love it. I love a coach that will push back on all the crap that the media contributes. Butch Jones controls the culture on Rocky Top. That's the difference between him and his predecessors.

Butch gets it. We're headed in the right direction and we're a week away from being bowl eligible. 5-4 and not having to win out to make a bowl - 99% of TN fans are ecstatic about that. The rest are on here *****ing an moaning because they had hoped for a 4-8 season.

Don't forget youth

And Ut is only 3 years into a 7 year build

You say that sarcastically but TN has played more true freshman the past 2 years than any other power 5 team...

So why does it make you so angry for Butch to say that we are a young team? You do realize that we are a young team, right?

Oh, grow up. It's our fans that seem to have a lot of youth, or at least not a lot of sense.

We have talent, but it's still really shallow. And THAT'S what takes time to build. We need a few more classes to get some serious depth.

Go Vols!

Whatever team winds up being this bowl season's Iowa better keep a tight one. We're going to get there on a roll and, as some of you are prone to say, "Whip dey azz!"

You have to play the game for 60 minutes every week. I wonder if the UF fans are acting like Vol fans tonight?

Florida is also a young team. With limited depth. And a new coach. Who had open calls for OL and a kicker this year. And who lost their starting QB for the season. And is winning with a backup QB who is young, with limited snaps.

Florida just won the SECE despite all these things. It can be done. We just didn't do it.

I can't really argue with anything you say here.

When I see Butch defend the program like this it does make me feel better about where the program is and where it's going...but I hope to heck he recognizes some key mistakes he himself is making. Calling that timeout when they had 1 second on the play clock completely bailed them out of a tough situation. He can't do that. THAT was a major gaffe. I just hope that was more a fluke than anything. I just hope he looks at that and sees what he did there. There is no way to spin that as being a wise move under any circumstances.

You can't help but wanna support the guy.

That's right. A 6-7 win season is reason for getting stone cold drunk and fighter your brother in celebration around here.

Does pointing out the obvious make you feel better, best, important? Patience, Grasshopper, patience. We are close.

Yep, you hit the nail on the head. It's obviously Butchs fault Malone dropped that easy TD catch and Pearson wasn't watching for the pass that would've likely been a TD as well.

I bet when Count doesn't have something go his way, he blames Butch
