Dude you've got to be.kidding me.

Last year everyone whined about Jake that he threw too much and couldn't run.

Now we're.running all over people and we're still.complaining??? Geez!

Yeah and how has the running all over people worked out? Oh yeah we throttled Bowling Green and Western Carolina. How about we get a balanced attack? I guess thats not possible at UT these days.

Butch lost two games that we should've won. Everyone knows it. However, we were only favored in Florida game and only by a point. At least we've proven that we are getting better and with a couple of breaks, we'd be a top 10 team right now. Hopefully Butch will learn...I think he will. We can still win 9 or 10 games and go to a good bowl. Not pumping sunshine, just saying that this isn't the end of the road. I've been questioning this offense for 2 years now but it's starting to prove it's worth. If we throw the ball about 8 to 10 more times in either game, we would've sustained drives and won. I think we will see more passing soon. I heard today that a true freshman for A&M has more receiving yards/td's than our entire WR corps. That's inexcusable with our talent. The last 3 weeks have really tested our resolve...but we have been through much worse. I was there when uk beat us with a WR...we are far from that type of embarrassment. GBO

Imagine even a decent passing game to go with this running attack. Lethal.

I thought he was fine until he hired his buddy Debord. This old has been or never was will doom Butch unless he makes some major changes. His coaching career depends on it.

Well Debord helped him get that last raise and extension so he had to repay the favor. BSIA.

At the VERY least we give him just under 4 years. He has shown that even if he's not the best gameday coach, he is an exceptional recruiter-to the point where if you just stay hands off and let him do his thing, after those 4 years are up, he will have left the roster in twice as good of shape as when he originally inherited it. The next guy would be walking into a very attractive situation. 2018 would also be a huge class for the next head coach as well, if it ever comes down to that, so that's another point worth considering. Fire him after this year and we just dig ourselves deeper in the hole. Also I hate the idea of gambling on a guy like Fuentes-who may just be reaping the benefits of a NFL caliber QB more than anything-also he has a strong supporting staff in Darrell Dickey on offense.

"Coaching style?" Bwahahahaha What style?

He belongs back at Ferris, he could win a conference championship there.

the truth is there is no balance and we all can see it. I agree with what you said, but we have gone from one extreme to another and you cannot have that and win games. You must have a balanced running and passing attack to keep teams on their toes and we simply don't do that. FL and OK stacked the box and that is one of the reasons they won. Oh, and Butch screwed up the rest.

Overrated ? Lol he should be 19-10 instead of 14-15 and could possibly be 20-10 if not for his lack of coaching abilitys

Blue font? You're saying g he is not overrated but then list the "should be"'s of his tenure then blame his coaching ability, yet argue he isn't overrated? Forgive me if you were kidding and I missed it.

Yes, but in his defence he's not from the SEC so we should have known his coaching style would be way different .

But he's a outstanding recruiter and for that reason I'm glad to have him at UT and I believe he will either get better as a Sec coach or he will not.

With out him we would be in terrible shape.

What is this supposed to even mean? There have been several SEC coaches who were/are successful and weren't "from the SEC".

You are right, and all of those experienced the same type of issues, the only difference is, if you compare the teams that did not go through the coaching carousel like UT, they started seeing progress in the 3rd year, UT experienced something like a Miami, Heck! look at Texas, their ready to ride him out of the state, there are plenty of examples of this type of issues, BUT the 3 reasons UT is experiencing this special attention.

1. Tennessee (the state) did not have the talent to feed the University.
2. Kiffen and Dooley laid some major damage on our recruiting........how many players went to another school because of all that crap?
3. I remember reading there are 12 players from the 2013 class on the roster and who is starting from that class?

Come'on there is not too many programs that could not recover in 2 years from all that mess (nightmare).

I thought the last two classes could actually take UT to 10-2 season, it could still happen, I am more a 8-4 person now, but I bought into all that preseason hype and the reality is we lost 2 games by a combined total of 8 points......where were we this time last year?

To those people who are saying he isn't from the SEC, I hate to be the guy to bring this up but neither is Saban, Miles, or Richt...those guys seem to be doing alright.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying CBJ is anywhere near that level, but being from outside this conference does not automatically disqualify someone from being a good coach...

He can not continue to recruit at that level if he continues on this path.

This a real concern, no matter which way you are leaning at this point. He has to turn the corner soon. I dont care about excuses, weak assistant coaches, bricks, nike uniforms, recruiting site rankings, or blind optimistic opinions. His winning record is all that matters; 14-15, 5-12 in SEC play, 0-7 against the "big three" most important rivalry games.

How. many times is someone going to post this pic in a thread?

So now we are going to complain about appropriate memes in a thread? This fanbase would gripe about a wet dream. The meme is appropriate because the OP is confusing. A lot of coaches don't come from the conference they are currently coaching so it's fitting. Stop finding crap to complain about and take a midol and zip it. Preciate it! Oh and defense!

You realize that Saban, Richt, malzahn, Miles, Sumlin, etc aren't from the SEC either?
