Why can't people just accept....Tennessee was a Kentucky level football team when Butch got here....firing him now would set us back another 4 years....let him make some coaching changes......We were decimated by injuries this year....it happens its football.....Just enjoy being back in the top 25...Everybody is living in the 1990s....I got news for you...Butch took over a program in a lot worse shape than Majors took on and has returned it to the top 25 a lot quicker than Johnny did. Give him a couple of more years...besides nobody you want will take this job. #lifechamps

I think all he is saying is, the reason Butch is not on a hot seat has nothing to do with who the Athletic Director is, Hart or a new one. He's not on one because, regardless of what some fans think, he is doing an overall good job.

Fair enough. Should have stated it that way however.

I think any coach facing an AD change has to feel some level of apprehension for reasons I stated earlier. Some AD's want " their guy" etc..

I personally don't see Jones leaving or being fired barring unforeseen disaster or him jumping ship in the next two years minimum. Especially if Blackburn is the leader in the clubhouse for the job.

You've got a few delusional fans we ACTUALLY think CBJ should be prob number 1 on this list. As I've stated all along if you think the UT admin in interested in a new head football coaches search anytime soon, especially when most level headed people think CBJ solid, then you have set yourself up for MAJOR disappointment. I would suggest you cut off the $100,000 donations until we hire someone you approve of...😄😄😄😄

I heard from someone who was close to the Charlie Strong hire that several of the big-time "oil bidness" donors were dead-set against it and have never been in his corner.

Georgia

Virginia Tech in the
Same season.

Injury plagued year. Still about to get to 9 wins. Maybe 10.

He's not as horrible as made out to be. He's actually an overall well rounded coach.

I personally just want a Nick Saban or Urban Meyer. Or next tier. Petrino, Herman, Peterson

Butch very well could turn into a Dabo... and I could live with that.
