CBJ left out of top 25.

The big 3 we wanted and reached out to was strong, dykes and fedora. All said no thanks to us. And Jones took the gig.

This bs has been debunked at least 100 times. The only 2 people offered an MOU, meaning a job, was Charlie Strong and Butch Jones. That's it.

I completely get what you are saying. But who would you rather be if the classes ended today?

USC - AVG 3.5 - 9 4 stars - 6 3 stars
Tennessee - AVG 3.31 - 9 4 stars - 16 3 stars

Would you not rather have the 9 4 star players and also the 16 3 star players? I would take all 16 3 stars and chances are some of them will be as good or better than the 4 stars.

The only reason that the large amount of 3 stars is an issue is if we run out of room. Either way I don't think Butch is going to be turning down 4 stars if they want to come to UT. We will make room

Regardless, Butch is not on the hot seat due to recruiting. Just tired of people like aredfox28 repeating everything they heard their uncle yell at the TV last weekend without taking the time to check the accuracy

Sorry dude but possibly the dumbest recruiting post I have seen. USC could have 75 3* star recruits if they wanted. Ultimately everybody fills up their class

This talk of Manning I realize is not serious...BUT...it comes down to talent in college football, and hypothetically speaking IF Manning were to be the HC of Tennessee recruiting would be absolutely off the hook. If that guy walks into a families living room...it's a done deal. Hire some great coordinators...hell, Peyton WAS the OC for Denver for all intents and purposes. He's smarter than Harbaugh and look what he's done.

Anyway, I don't think it's a far fetched concept of Peyton being a very, very good head coach and obviously a top notch recruiter. We'd have a # 1 class easily. Just sayin'.

It's probably because Butch isn't on much of a hot seat. Depending on the state of the program next year the seat may remain cool if improvement continues or start to heat up if we regress. Anyone who thinks Butch should be on the hot seat is delusional. This is not to say there arent trends in Butch's tenure which make you wonder if he will be able to sustain or even break through to the next level but I will argue Butch is exactly what this program needed after the Dooley/Kiffin years. Will he be the coach to take UT to another title - jury is still out.

AD is irrelevant
He wouldn't be on the list with a new ad either

This is a weekly list so things are open to change despite what you say.

There could be several reasons for him to be on the list next season under a new AD.

His team bumbles it's way through next Sept.

His new AD just doesn't like him or believe in him. If you haven't noticed, he doesn't instill universal confidence as the head coach.

The Vols lose the next two games.

I don't know the future any more than you do though.

We are talking about right now. As the list stands today. And a AD in place wouldn't change anything
